Hey does anyone have any idea about this law that says that if you were born in the year 1989 or younger than that, you can't get your driver's license until your 18!!

I've been hearing about that for awhile. Was it finally enacted?

I have no clue, my friend said that her parents told her that and she didn't believe them. But then she got a flyer or something mentioning it. If that is a law or soemthing would I still be bale to get it say with my parents permission.
I know that you can't get your real license now until your 18 no matter what year you were born in. My friend Ryan just got his license but it's only his junior license (meaning he can only be out until 11:00.) He has about a year and a half to go until he gets is real one. I don't know it's all so confusing.

For what state? It is done differently through different states, but I did hear about it. I don't have to worry about a drivers License cause I am blind in my right eye and they won't let me get my license. So I am soley dependent on walking and on my husband.

I know here you can get it at 16 and a half. You can get a permit at 16. The one at 16 and a half is a junior one also. Can't drive between midnight and 5am, unless with an adult over 21 that has a drivers license for over a year. That lasts til 18.

I think they are going to put that law into place here in Scotland at least. I'm not sure about the date, but sometime soon. At the moment the age is 17 for your proper liencese.

That is exactly how it is. Except now for people who are born in 1989 and younger. Which I happen to be born in 1989!!! Why did it have to be my year, why not 1990. (starting a new decade.)
Oh and this is going on in Pennsylvania by the way.

Well, I'm not sure if it's happening here or not. Not that it matters. I can get it this summer.

NO!! ...
I dont think thats true here.. Where I live you have to be 16 to get your G1, and then after you have your G1, you have to wait a year I think then get your G2.. Then you can drive.. but some adult has to be in the car with you. When you are 18 then you can drive alone, and you completely have ur full drivers license.

Actually, its 1990. Yes, its been enacted here. There is a law in other states, however, that says if you're 15 and elligible to get your licence, if you don't have the grades, they won't give it to you.
