The Kingdom of Rasheem

"Come with me if you want to live."
UN Category: Corporate Bordello
Civil Rights: Very Good
Economy: Very Strong
Political Freedoms: Excellent
Location: Plate Tectonics

The Kingdom of Rasheem is a very large, environmentally stunning nation, renowned for its complete lack of prisons. Its hard-working, intelligent population of 62 million are effectively ruled by a group of massive corporations, who run for political office and provide their well-off citizens with world-class goods and services. Their poorer citizens, however, are mostly starving to death while being urged to go out and get real jobs. The populace has reasonably extensive civil rights, although these are mostly aimed at allowing them to buy whatever they like.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Religion & Spirituality, Public Transport, and Social Welfare. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 40%. A large private sector is dominated by the Gambling industry.

CDs are regularly copy-protected, strict term limits have been applied to all elected offices, elevator music has been replaced by thrash metal played at maximum volume, and Pinkerton agents are called in to forcibly break up white collar strikes. Crime is a problem, probably because of the country's utter lack of prisons. Rasheem's national animal is the parrot, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the rork.

My REAL country is at 521 million people

UN Category: Capitalist Paradise
Civil Rights: Some
Economy: Frightening <--- best you can get
Political Freedoms: Below Average

The Divine Kingdom of Namlionor is a huge, safe nation, remarkable for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 522 million are either ruled by a small, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, pro-business government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defence, and Education. The average income tax rate is 100%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Gambling industry, followed by Automobile Manufacturing and Uranium Mining.

Major cities shut down as their local sports team takes to the field every day, punitive tariffs protect local industry, nudity is frowned upon, and pristine wilderness has been trashed in the quest for cheaper oil. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Namlionor's national animal is the Wolf, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Hythen.

Namlionor is ranked 1st in the region and 82,038th in the world for Largest Welfare Programs (per capita).

A flexathon eh?

UN Category: Inoffensive Centrist Democracy
Civil Rights: Good
Economy: Weak
Political Freedoms: Some

The Second Outpost of Willthisnamework is a massive, devout nation, notable for its devotion to social welfare. Its compassionate population of 2.248 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, the Environment, and Law & Order. The average income tax rate is 100%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising fourteen-year-old boys selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Prime real estate is devoted to wind farms and solar energy generators, the government is making attempts at curtailing the flood of spam emails with little progress, the latest Harry Potter book is a bestseller, and the nation has an international reputation for compassion. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Willthisnamework's national animal is the Vulture, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the heed.

/flex
