A recent rebellion in Haiti has erupted in full force. Haitian President Aristide has resigned his office and fled the country to accept asylum in the Central African Republic. US Marines are on their way to Haiti as we speak. Will there be cooperation between US forces and the Haitian Rebels or is this situation only just heating up?

Hopefully cooperation, though all emotions seem quite high from the reports I've seen. And please, everyone, remember that they did ask the US for help.
I find it kind of amusing that Aristide said that he would never leave, and that this would all be over on Monday... Yeah, that was a good call.

So what's your opinion? Did Aristide leave the country by force or voluntary?

I think he left voluntarily .. . the rebel forces were nearing the capital. It seems like the Haitian President was looking for a way out. This is probably why he was so desperate for the US to send military aid. As soon as US Marines were deployed, he quit talking about making a stand and got out of the country.
I've heard on the news today that US military officials have said that the Rebel leader to make himself scarce but the rebel leader has proclaimed himself the head of the Haitian military (he'll probably expect the Maines to cooperate).

Gotta love those Haiti cops in action. Smacking folks upside the head and stuff in the busy streets.
What is this all about anway? Just bad conditions? Taxes? Unemployment?
