Any fans of Hulk Hogan on here?

I'm sure most of you have heard of him. He's one of those hulking big American wrestling stars. He's been wrestling since 1979 but he really came to prominence in 1984 in the World Wrestling Federation. He wrestled there from 1984-1993 and won FIVE WWF Championships. He was hardly ever pinned and he was the main draw, he was one and the same with the WWF.

He went to World Championship Wrestling in 1994 and stayed there for awhile (although some fans thought he had overstayed his welcome by the time the late 90's rolled round). At first he was a good guy but turned bad in 1996, leading a gang of rebels called The NWO. He turned good again in 1999 and stayed with WCW until summer 2000, after which he left in a controversial manner.

Eventually, he returned to the WWF (now called WWE) in 2002 to face wrestler/hollywood superstar The Rock at WrestleMania XVIII. He enjoyed some modest success and left the organisation again in late 2003.

Of course, he's done movies and TV too. His movies could never be described as a success but some have been entertaining such as Suburban Commando and Santa Claus with Muscles.

And he's guest starred on TV shows such as The A-Team and had his own mid-90's show called Thunder In Paradise (a cross between an action show and Baywatch).

Anyone else like the man? The WWE are celebrating a milestone this month with the twentieth WrestleMania PPV. I hope he shows up because he is responsible for a lot of the early success that the WWF enjoyed.

Yeah. I love him in his movies. I liked him when He played the good wrestler. I did not like playing the bad one.

I do know that Hogan left the WWE in June 2003 because he and Vince McMahon had different ideas about how the character of Hogan should move ahead in the WWE. They had creative differences which prompted Hogan to leave.

I'm not sure he's wrestling right now. I know he made some appearances for a Japanese federation recently and I have heard rumours linking him to NWA:TNA (which I've never watched). But I don't think he's on a full-time schedule anywhere. And he hardly needs to be-the man is a millionaire many times over.

I do hope he shows up at WrestleMania XX though. It just won't be right if he doesn't.

While we are on the topic of wrestling. My husband Charlie before he joined back into the army, he use to wrestle for a small wrestling business in South Carolina. He was in the team called THe Dog Pound. THey came out to the music Who let the Dogs Out. Everybody loved them.
Before he wrestled, he refree and then he became the deputy commsioner.

I would root for him. Then there was a story line where him and a friend, turned bad and went off on their own to fight The Dog Pound. I would still root for him. I guess cause he is my sweetheart. Now I don't have to worry about him getting hurt in wrestling, he is back in the army now.

He was not in no big name wrestling thing. A small one that our community went to.

Yes he is wretling for TNA-NWA they say this promotion is going to be as big as WcW was. Infact he just lost a major lawsuit against another wrestler I don't remember why though.

I liked Hulk Hogan. He should be at wrestlemania. It wouldn't be the same without him there.

I saw him live at WrestleMania's VI and X8, both held in Toronto.

My favorite WWE Superstar is Triple H, though. My username kind of gives that away.

He's pretty cool. I've seen him a few times on TV.
Including appearing on an eppisode of the last season of " Walker, Texas Ranger."
He makes a good actor.
