Well, we have enough topics floating around everywhere on the subject. So just so we're all on the same page, lets have some definitions

Triam, if you really want a personalized definition, then I'd suggest you talk to a youth minister at your church. At ours, one of the women who helps out has a degree in Theology, and is extremely informative. Hopefully there is someone like that at a church near you, that could help you in your search.

I think it's just someone who believes in the Christian faith. *shrug* I don't know; I'm no expert, I don't pretend to be.

Someone who ask Jesus into their hearts and try to serve the Lord. Be kind to everybody. We not perfect but strive to be. It's hard to explain without writing a big paragraph.

Christian - Christlike. And Christians, in the beginning weren't the ones to call themselves such, others did.

Yeah, the Greek Orthodox are much the same in the way that they are very strict about when you are and when you aren't.

To me, a Christian is someone who believes there is only one God, and that his son, Jesus, is their saviour. A practising Christian is to me someone who goes to church, prays and does good.
I'm not a Christian (by my definition) as I don't believe that Jesus is the saviour, that he performed miracles and such. I do believe there is a God out there though. What does that make me?

I'm going to request that everyone keep their comments to a nonoffensive manner--if anyone begins bashing on someone's beliefs, the topic will be locked, and the user will be warned.

Oh no, no joke. I'd ban him. Christians are sheep, but the druggies, they do it all of their own free will, the drug doesn't affect them, you know? Some people think "live and let live" only apply to what they want. Apparently, as you can see, they are morons.

Exactly! You can't put a definition on being Christian or on Not being Christian.

Then why are there other arguments going on over "who's niceer"? If we can't define it than whats the point. Thats why I put this topic up in the first place
((the sarcastic rhetoric isn't meant towards you, Oliver, just other people in general))

See, that would be the point. This isn't an argument, not even a debate, it's just a simple question. How do you define Christian?

Christian who ask Jesus into he/she heart and do the will of God. A Christian loves their neighbor and enemy. A christian shows compassion towards others and would lay down their life for someone. Read the bible regularly and be there for others who may need you.
