PostSat Feb 28, 2004 11:20 am    Who is your influence in life mom or dad?

I am influence by my dad. Yes, I am a daddy's girl. He showed me love, show me the way life should be. He don't preach, he listens to me. He gives unconditional love like our father which is in Heaven.

He loves the same things that i do. He loves star trek. He loves people. He would give his life for someone. He has a great sense of humor. He knows how to make me laugh when I am down.

I am so sorry. THere are dads that is like that. My niece dad is like that. My sister has to raise my niece alone. i did not get along with my mom at all. She was not there for me when I needed her. She always slept all the time and she never spent any time with me. When she was up, she would beat me all the time. My dad is gentle and he would always stop her. He should have left her and tooken me but he loved her. Love is blind.

My dad is one of the worst pieces of **** in this world. He's now in prison. Even so, I still love him...

My mum's ok, we're just too similar. We can't stand to be together for more than a few days. But I love her, and it really upsets me that she's ill and receiving death threats off her neighbour, since she's disabled and can't even defend herself.

The main person I used to turn to was my mum's friend Vic. He was like a grandfather to me, I could talk to him about anything and knew he'd respect my opinion. I still don't really believe he's gone.

Both for me too, but I think my mother a little a more. They both went from nothing to everything.

My mom above all. My dad...well... *ahem* extremely bad alcohol addiction, and besides that, just not much of a man. My mom worked all by herself to make a life for both of us, and it was hard for her. I admire her a lot for that.

When I was younger, it was always my Mum who was there: my Dad was always working and too busy for us. Then they got divorced, and we only saw him when he came down to visit us. He'd buy us presents and take us out... My Mum, though; hmm... we're not close. She's not interested in anything I have to say. She was more interested in pictures my friend has coloured in for a Welsh competition than anything I've ever done at school. I don't really mind, though. For the most part, I like being left to it.

My Mom is closer to me, although Neither have Influenced me very much....

My Dad is a Capitalist- My Mom doesn't know about Politics- I'm a Socialist

I like completely different things and have entirely different Morals and beliefs to my parents.

My dad was a huge influence in my life. My mom was influential in my life as well, just not as much.

Equally both. I've learned from both their example, and their mistakes. My Dad is impulsive, and my mother also to an extent. I am very much not. I'll overthink something 'til I talk myself out of it, I also learned to be self-reliant from them. They also showed me that things mean nothing, and that family and friends are what's important. Holding grudges, IMO, is incredibly stupid. LTS.

I have to say both equally, for the most part anyway. They're both there for me all the time and I haven't had a tough time livin with em, but my dad tends to overreact a lot which is one of the things that makes me be sorta overly cautious around him, and he's been actin really crazy lately because he had knee surgery and has been in the house for so long lol.

Sounds like you've got a similar father to me, although I hope he's nowhere near as bad.

He doesn't even know he's got a grandchild yet...

When I need money, my dad always come through for me. But I always pay him back. He is so good to me. My mom is getting better but not to much.

Mom. She's the one that has been at home most. Dad has worked himself half-dead to make us live well, and I greatly admire him for it. But my mother is still the one that has influnced me most.

Cappy,

You are lucky to have a mom that loves you. I wished my mom loves me. I try so hard to get her to. But, I guess she loves me in her own twisted way. My dad is number one to me.
