Yes, because Trek hasn't seemed to grasp that they don't need to transform women into mindless sex symbols to attract viewers. 
I'm personally amused by the prospect of Sean Connery nominating himself, so I'll go with that.

Won't be anyone on the list or anyone like them. I think it might be a younger guy this time or it's possible he could be a black american... like maybe Denzel Washington would be a good choice. He's into movie acting, so he may not be interested, though. How about David Dekovney (X-Files )?
I don't think there will be a female captain this soon after Voyager... maybe one more series and then we'll see another female captain.

Yeah, I'm gonna say they need something different like an alien... or maybe a really young kid who's some prodigy and graduated starfleet academy when he was 12... only not annoying like Wesley Crusher. That would put a new perspective on things.

Honestly, I would love to see Harry Kim as Captain! You know, since the poor guy had to stay an Ensign the entire Voyager series, . I think he really deserves it.

Riker is way overdue for a promotion.
Or how about Belanna Torres? She's one of Trek's most interesting characters, and she'd probably make a great captain. (This could be set ahead in the future so Miral is a cadet at Starfleet Academy.)
