The Winding Road To Nowhere:
By: Katharine Rachel Anne King
Not a single dream falls from the sky,
As I take the path less traveled by.
I grieve for me as I plow ahead,
Nothing to fear, no future to dread.
One by one, the years go by,
As repenting tears slip from my eyes.
In my mind, I am not here.
Instead my suicide comes creeping near.
Dreams lay shattered, torn and broken,
Precious words are hardly spoken.
Day by day, all hopes float past,
Memories fade as lovers clash.
Streaking winds cross my path,
Water evolves in a mournful bath.
Bluebirds sing of love and of dreams,
But they are not as happy as they seem.
"Time to go", I say with tears,
Weeping for me, you stand right here.
"The time is now for a silhouette to fall."
Not a scream, not a sound heard from down the hall.
I grieve for me, the pain's so great,
Yet you linger beside me at any rate.
"Time to go, so take my hand
And promise that you understand".
One by one, the years pass by,
This path I travel,
With a crimson sky.
Future no more, not even a dream,
Because all was lost,
Or so it seemed...

that poem was dedicated to a 12/13 year old girl who killed herself while at school....
anyway, here's a more recent poem...a brighter poem!
Far Away
By: Katharine Rachel Anne King
Out of the world of men and power,
Into a precious and peaceful hour.
Out of corruption and endless fire,
Into a magical, redeeming desire.
There's no one to stop me,
Or interfere,
Only I alone,
Dreaming here.
Far away, it sets me apart,
From the world of the wicked,
And the accursed black heart.
Away from deception and burning hate,
Lies a world of wonder,
A world much more great.
Where evil stops by every once in a while,
Then is cast far away,
By my own satin smile.
My soul, myself, my own little me,
Dreaming away,
On a shore by the sea...

Blessed
By: Katharine Rachel Anne King
My family, my home,
My haven in dark times.
My respect, my honor,
My wind through the chimes.
My love, my trust,
My nothing all at once.
My hatred, my sorrow,
My many petty stunts.
My happiness, my truthfulness,
My misguided lust.
My loyalty, my manner,
My life left nonplussed.
My ambition, my career,
My worst, yet my best.
My childhood, my adulthood,
My everything blessed...

4EVA, i think you just started a trend!
Hiding On The Outside
How can I show you,
Who I am
When all I ever hear from you,
Is who I'll never be?
Now here I am
Hiding
Hiding on the outside
Never to escape your labels
Never to be free of your spite
How can I express
What it is to be me
When all i ever hear fron you,
Is what it'll never be?
Now here I am
Hiding
Hiding on the outside
Never to escape your labels
Never to live in peace
How can i express
Who I was
When all I ever heard
Was who I'd never been
Now here I am
Hiding
Hiding on the outside
Searching for me
Never to succeed,
Never to rest in peace...

FINALLY!
Scorpion
By:K. R. A. King
You’d never know it happened,
From the way they all behaved.
You’d never believe it happened,
Although it happened, just the same.
The creature was as beautiful,
As a princess-no-a queen!
Yet beneath this elegant creature,
Lay a bloodlust in every sting.
For upon her victims,
She slowly crept.
Up the chest,
And onto the neck.
And there,
This creature of noir-ish black,
Lay to rest each innocent breath.
And little care hath she,
This creature that killed without care.
Yet she seemed to bring an end to life,
Without demonic err.
On and on,
Continued the fiend.
To pit crimson graves,
Upon each scene.
For upon her victims,
She eerily crept.
Up each chest,
Toward each neck.
And little care hath she,
Nature’s violent angel.
And little care hath she,
The scorpion of which I speak.
In the end,
Upon me, she turned,
Her master and companion,
And spoke with a terrible, grief-stricken anger,
Saying, “I can’t help myself, it’s in my nature.”

The Crescent Sign of Hope
Those who are worthy,
shall not be forgotten.
For he is below, searching for her last begotten.
Eve's tiny infant, bearing the crescent sign,
Shall determine the mortal, human design.
The last daughter is here, to save their souls,
To save their lives, to dig immortal holes.
To save her Earth, to save her race,
And yet all is lost, for she will soon die,
It was meant to be,
Caine's wrath still creeps nigh.
She cannot live,
For if she does,
Humanity will continue,
To wreak havoc on us.
The crescent infant shall disappear,
No one shall know, Eve's daughter stood here.
It was meant to be,
Caine's wrath still creeps nigh.

A Fool's Fortune
Fortune follows an uncertain path,
Where those who seek it,
Reap no reward.
But those who would wait,
For its road to meet theirs,
Discover the benefits of sitting and waiting.
The hardworking man, the scholar, the success,
Even in every cent that he's made,
Finds no true fortune, no real reward.
And yet, the fool, the slacker, the dropout,
Finds himself filled with a valuable fortune.
One which surpasses scholarly success.
The fool, in the end, refuses his fortune,
For all that it is is a lesson to be learned.
And being the fool, he is too lazy to learn.
So he dies in vain, a forgotten shadow.
While all around him, bask in their fortunes,
For they have learned,
Thus they have prospered.

Unlife
It is true,
My unlife seems miserably blessed,
Yet, in truth, all it is, is test after test.
It is true,
My unlife seems unruly at times,
But we all must forgive the unforgiveable crimes.
It is true,
My unlife is bloody and bound,
To the one who'll destroy me,
Without so much as a sound.
It is true,
He is near, prepare for the end.
But only for the deeply forsaken, my friend.
Only the childer and Kindred will die,
And yet the mortals will not hear our last crimson cry.
Say goodbye to the ashes, goodbye to the blood.
We have reached the end, only to greet the beginning

Black Dream
It flows through my mind,
Like a noir river,
The dream that will haunt me forever,
And ever.
It seeps like oil,
Fleeing from a painting.
The dream that will haunt me forever,
And ever.
It peers into my heart,
Like a lens through a planet's core.
The dream, the dream, haunting me forever...
Korru-The Black Dream,
It runs free through my vains,
Like a newborn foal,
Taming the meadow...
It flows to my fingertips,
Yearning to be free,
Korru-The Black Dream,
Fingertip to key.
