The books themselves (I thought) were miles better than any of the other novels. For a fan of Voyager, they're excellent. For a casual fan, I'm not so sure.
Good luck with the GCSEs - I'm sure you'll do fine. I got my A2/ A-Levels same time...coursework deadlines...grrr...

well.....the fact that i have read half of Homecoming in one day should answer the question.......... i think the book is great
the only bit that is quite dissapointing is that one the whole Jean-Luc thing with him thinkin about the borg and the inplant coming out of his face.... which is what happened in the First Contact film and two that it was not really a very amazing welcome back to the alpha quardrent was it .... and are now accusin Admiral Paris and Jean -luc of bein spys/moles
but ne way the books great, can wait to finish and get onto Farther Shore

Enjoy it while it lasts. Homecoming is the superior book by some way.

you MUST read Mosaic and Pathways, both by Jeri Taylor. Mosaic is Janeways sort of biography, and Pathways is the rest of the crew

I agree - those books are definately good ones though the Chakotay and Tuvok stories in Pathways weren't as good as the others IMO. Mind you, I wasn't particularly a fan of those characters in the series either. Thought the ending of that book was rushed though.
Haven't read Mosaic though.
I like the "cliffhanger" at the end of Homecoming - Farther Shore was my fave simply because it was interesting to see how all the threads eventually tied together...you find yourself thinking, "Ah so that's who it is" after wondering who 'a certain character' (you know who) is.

^ about Pathways... I liekd TOm's story the best... I have a story to go along with it
SPOILERS
So when I was first reading the book, I was at Tom's story while I was on a plane to France. It was really dark and everyone else on the plane was asleep, except for me because I oculdn't get to sleep. So there I am reading... possibly going a little crazy because of the sleep depravation... and I get to the part where Tom wakes up and sees the ghosts of Charlie, Odile and Bruno standing there. It freaked me out so badly, just because the situation was right... anyway... thats my story... I should tell it at parties... *hangs head in shame*
