^Exactly. We flew a flag here before 9/11. And the only one I have on my car says New England Patriots, Yes, I have alot of Americana stuff, but you all know how I am about that.
The flag also represents THOUSANDS of people who gave their lives to give us what we have today. Things like freedom.

And sorry, I should have said "not many here understand that".

I've got the United Kingdom flag on a button that's attached to the strap of my bookbag. I don't really support a lot of what Bush is doing, so I guess, in a way, my having the UK flag instead of the US flag could be seen as unpatriotic, but it's not like I'm saying, "Ahhh! I hate living here!" I realize how special America is, and I'm proud to live here, but England is also a part of my heritage.

I have a postcard of the British flag tacked up by the comp. It's something Kai, (Captain Skyline) sent. I've also got a bald eagle in front of the US flag. It says COURAGE on it, and the quote is
Quote:
"Freedom is the sure possession of those alone who have the courage to defend it"
I like it,

But there is no way I'd mutilate my countries flag. Especially not for decoration. Kid Rock also had it on backward. The blue starfield always goes on the left.

That's not good. I think there's a difference from having like, a decal, or a pin of the flag on your shirt--but when you wear an actual flag, then you are stepping into desecration of the flag territory.

Well, like LightningBoy said, it's no longer illegal. You can burn the flag. But for someone as patriotic as Kid Rock claims to be, he should've had better taste. You'll notice they were very careful to not let it touch the ground. It's like, what's the point? You've already mutilated it.

If its Clothing I think its ok I mean the cross is spose to be a religous symbol for what happened to Jeasus but everyone wears it as a necklace or ear rings or even other jewlery

^Welcome.

I have many shirts that have the flag on them. I have none made out of the flag. That's the issue. Patches, pins, etc... are all acceptable. Actually wearing your countries standard is not.

Its nice to know that there are still people who are patriotic and respect there country. At my high-school it is rare to see those kinds of people, most kids dont even say the pledge of alligence, but just stand there. That kind of thing gets me angry.

It was a ring. And no one's been talking about the boob for quite awhile... Even if they were, this is the topic for it,

[EDIT] BTW, this "boob" is costing CBS, MTV and VIACOM MILLIONS. Not such a little deal for them.

That makes more sense. It just adds to my theory that Justin Timberlake is evil. <---Justin Timberlake!!

LOL

Apparently he was supposed to pull the bustier (?) off, and accidentally got his hand on a tad too much, Not that it wasn't anything he'd never seen before, them having dated and all.

Considering he dated Britney Spears too, he's certainly familiar with the territory The kids at school were like, "they definitely planned it, but the people in charge didn't know about it." I didn't see it personally, something which I'm pretty glad I didn't. Mom called me in and was like, "It's Justin Timberlake!" and I had to bite back the urge to say, "Spork him."

the only good thing about the superbowl was the jimmi hendrix commercial, all of the "superbowls" that occured before hand was the only real thing that interested me anyways and the whole flag thing dosent matter to me either.

Everyone at school talks about that little "incident". I didn't see it, and it gets annoying when everyone asks me if I saw it. Well, only the stupid guys would ask that

Kai, dude, it's like the same as if someone took the British flag, ripped into five hundred pieces, and hung it up as streamers from the Tower of London. Complete disrespect to everything the country stands for--get it now?

EVERYONE wears the flag. It's not disrepect, it's patriotic! I have an american flag bandana. I don't wear it to diss the flag OR my country, I wear it to show my pride @ being an american! And I think cutting a flag to show your patriotism is fine. If your shredding it to be like "Haha, america is stupid! Watch me desecrate the flag!" then that's stupid. But if it's "I'm cutting a peice off of this to display it and show my american pride" then it's fine. I didn't see kid rock, so I don't know how he did it. but this is MY oppinion. And I will continue to wear my flag!

i dont have a problem with people wearing the flag, only cutting holes in it. There are other ways to be patriotic.
