Wed Jan 28, 2004 1:49 am Man Finds A US Navy Torpedo in his neighborhood |
|
On the afternoon of jan 25, 2004 a bunch of kids were playing in a abandoned house with a shed in Las Vegas, when they noticed a big long metal object next to the shed. The kids ran to the a person who was a former navy personel and asked him about what they have found. The man then confirms that it was a US Navy Test Torpedo. The Mystery on how it got there is still unknown.

There are lots of US Military bombs that have accidentally dropped or been jettisoned. There is a nuclear one off Tybee, Island Georgia. They've given up searching for it, it's been buried for like 40 years though.
Edit=Link
As you can see, it won't cause a nuclear explosion, but could still go off, as it has over 400 pounds of conventional explosive.

Woops sorry. My dad's a commander in the navy and I fired a torpedo accidentally. Could I have it back now? JK That'd be pretty cool to find a torpedo though

Urgh. It's much too strenuous searching for a host body. We don't want to make it necessary anymore frequently!
