But instead its program did not uninstall it just took other programs. I'm not the only one it did that too. I have been told by many people that Kazaa deleted some stuff of theirs. But it was the new verison not the older ones. The new Kazaa has some kind of hole in it...a bug you could call it. I've been looking up help topics about it. |
Sounds like a registry problem. You went to uninstall, and the registry didnt point to KaZaa, it mistook the command, and pointed somewhere else. The only way I know of to fix one of those, is reformatting your hard drive, or at least reloading your operating system.

You dont even know. He wanted a better mobo, and I couldnt do it, unless we bought an entirely new case, but he didnt want to. Hes waiting for the Gateway warranty to run out, then I will build him one of my infamous $300 machines.
Basically, the infamous 300, is a super sexy system, somewhere between 1800 and 2400 MHz, with a 64 MB graphics card, decent case, stock motherboard, and whatever I can get ahold of for the rest of the parts. Really cool. Built these 4 times now, and its really cool.

Oh yeah! AMD is always good, I love the nVidia line, its good stuff! I have a nice little ASUS board running with a Athlon 2400+.

I just watched a presentation by nVidia about the new motherboards they are bringing out for the Athlon 64 FX, its lookin pretty sexy, and will be out soon! Standard Gigabit ethernet, 7.1 audio, they made their own RAID to be PATA and SATA, its really frikkin cool!

I got to watch a presentation about the new 64's. nVidia put it on, it looks really sweet! Basically, nVidia is putting everything on themselves, and so they will be able to fix it all, since it is all their technology! There is like a audio mixer, 7.1 audio, gigabit ethernet, all kinds of kickass stuff like that, all made by nVidia!!!

I just uninstalled it (or attempted to) and it did uninstall...oh no insted Kazaa deleted my photos, music, chatlogs...and took my MSN 6.01....I am so mad right now. I hate Kazaa. It did the same thing to a friend of mine. once I fix all the other problems it caused in my system I am going to try and see what I can do for her computer as well. |
The problem with kazaa is its spy and addware. The first thing you may wish to do is run add aware. (www.lavasoftusa.com) and download add aware 6. This program cleans all spyware out of your registry and every other possible location. After that, you may want to download a registry fix somewhere. MS has a freeware one, find it on google. If all of that fails, then you should run windoctor of norton or Ashampoo. A free or trial version should be available via the internet. (search as usual with google)
For future reference, if you want to install peer to peer, get either shareaza or kazaalite. Those are without any form of spyware.
If you need more help, contact me.

I came back from a guy's place, he had 2 computers, 1 with a 9800pro and one with a 9600 (both ati radeon cards). Both were crap! There was a good half a dozen games that would refuse to play on them, Including a very good new game race driver. Well I think race driver played but the textures were all stuffed up. This is trying out the old 3.1 and the 4.1 drivers in both instances mind you.
Also, the 9800 always defaulted to 640x480 @ 60hz every time windows was started. Set a different resolution and it would still default back every time the computer was restarted.
Well, I always recommend nvidia cards over ati cards. Ati cards are dodgey.

It was probably hardware other than the graphics card that was the problem there. Those ATI cards are absoultely beautiful, never had a problem with mine!
Vortex? I thought you were hiding in a hole!
