I'm not a homosexual, but I play on on tv. Actually, a good number of my closest friends are. It's all cool with me. My very best male friend of almost 12 years is gay. He's like a brother. I've never been able to understand people who can hate peole just for loving someone. I think it should be celebrated, not looked down on. To me, we're all the same, who cares who you sleep with, kiss, love, etc? For a time, I really thought I might be bi. I can't say I've never been attracted to women, heck, Jeri Ryan certainly gets me a llittle hot, but all-in-all, I'm pretty sure I'll end up with a man as my life mate. However, I say, "live and let live." I'm here to support anyone that needs/wants it. I'm a lover of people!

I remember reading that you are 19, correct? Congrats on being able to come out so young. The guy friend I mentioned before is 25 and still hasn't come out to his parents. Of course they know.... it's just never been discussed. I can't even remember how old he was when he came out to his friends. He was kind of in and out for a while. (no pun intended.) Of course that was all in a small Ohio town. We now both live in Houston, TX. Much easier to be yourself in such a huge city!!!!

You don't love differantly, you love truley. I've never looked at it as a them and us situation. Same with race... I see us all the same. We're all human, and we each have unique traits to make us individuales.

I came out as bi at fifteen and since then it's been a non-issue in my community (which is wonderful: I know ppl just accept it and then don't think about it). My parents were shakey at first and my flute teacher was...hmm well disappointed (she's from Wyoming (I can't spell!)). But other than that it's been great....but I'm here as a support person.

Well, I know what the Catholic Chaticism (sp) says about bi/les/gay. I am a baptised (sp) Catholic too. I was, however, an American 3 weeks before I was a Catholic. I have absolutly no problems with people like that. They are the same as I am. its called Gaypride for a reason.

I used to believe that I was bisexual, but now that I think about it, I don't think I am. I have no problem with homosexuals and bisexuals. They are just ordinary people, like all of us. It's just that their sex preference is different, but why does it matter... ? Why do people have to care about other's love lives... ? That I do not know. "Sharing the world has never been humanity's defining trait," says Professor X in X-Men. Damn right he is. Seems like we're all just trying to find reasons so we can hate people or something...
(I hope this doesn't come out as a long rant... or maybe it is, I dunno...)
(And yes, I know I used to be a tad bit racist... but that's not the point. )

Well, its nice to know that we are not the only one's who want the rights and that the others who believe we deserve it are not all homosexural aswell. I'm glad I posted this topic now and glad that PicardsTrueLove came up with the Idea.
So, are we the only one's on this site who are Les/Gay/bi? I mean if we have the guts to say we are where are the others who are? I feel that someone who hides what they are really has no respect for them self. You should not feel ashamed of it really. Its who you are and nothing you can do will change it believe me i tried. Isn't like anyone here really knows you in real life. Right? Just know you as a Loving Trakkie Friend.,

good point and all, but it is still hard for some people to say that they are gay...with it being so obvious how much of our culture feels about this.....however i think this is a great thing that you have set up.

I wish I were bisexual. Really I do! It would certainly widen the dating pool and God knows I need a date!!! My line of work dosn't allow much spare time for myself, let alone for dating!!! Also It keeps me so busy I don't get to meet many good guys. Maybe there just aren't good single guys my age in the Houston area!! Oh well.

I'm bisexual, have known really since I was 13 (before then I wasn't interested in love or anything). Since I've found the person I want to spend the rest of my life with though it's nothing I think about anymore. I also believe that all people are bisexual to some extent, although most have a preference. That's just my opinion though.

^^It's an interesting idea but it seems counter-intuitive if you think abotu the evolutionary advantages of being straight. Straight people can have children (in biology's eyes). Of course, because of social evolution we are past the need to simply procreate: we now care for our children and gay couples can adopt and care for more children, instead of them languishing in poverty. I wonder if the need for heterosexuality has erached its end, and if biology and social evolution will one day lead us to a society in which we are free and indeed encouraged to love freely and responsibly...hmm....I sound like and idealist! ::gasp:: Forgive me: it won't happen again.....

One more resson why my hetorosexuality is wasted on me.... I don't want kids. Also don't want to get married. I agree that most people in the world are bi to an extent. However, if you try to tell a phobic this, they turn all shades of ugly on you!!!

ok, 1 I am not anything but staright but I have a friend who is female and likes (is going out with female) and shes not long gottern married to her partner.
this is my views.
personaly I feel there is no wrong in likly the same gender as yourself, I feel that everybody loves in there own way and I feel that this world is too old fashed hanging on to things that should have been kicked out long ago,
I feel love is love no matter who you are with if you beleave in it then its true.
I feel people should not judge people for what they do outside of there working life or even in there personal life.
my friend is a great friend I know she likes the same sex and I dont care but she was fired from her job because of it and I felt that was so wrong.
anywas I am babbling so I am going to stop after the next line or so.
To all you people who like the same sex I hope that one day that people no matter where in the world will accept you for who you and your partner are not what you beleave/feel. I hope that one day people can understand what people feel for who they are and what they belave in.
thats it thanks ceya/.

No kids for me, and no marriage. People call me crazy because of it.
Anyways, Im not homo/bisexual, or nothin'. However, I get really annoyed at people who say "I hate all gay people." Im a Socialist/Communist, so I believe in equality. Equality between races, classes, sexuality and everything else.
So, good luck to all bisexual, lesbian, gay relationships out there, eh!
*EDIT*
Hmm. It censored l-e-s-b-i-an. How...strange.

Oh Mon Capitan, communism only looks good on paper.
My view on this is that, well, I dont give a sh*t if you les/bi or whatever. Everyone's the same, and not to offend anyone reading this, but anyone who thinks otherwise doesnt understand the basic concept of love in my opinion. Hopefully someday the entire world will understand that it doesnt matter who you love. And i'm straight, nothing else.

Last night's Voyager (I think it's called Unforgettable) The one that Chakotay falls in love with the woman but forgets her as soon as she leaves.... Anyway, at the end of the episode, Nelix had an amazing quote about love. I wish I could remember it.... I have it on tape so I'll rewatch it and copy it down. It's a great quote... his phylosophy on love and how/why it does or doesn't happen.
