Anyone got the new DS9 relaunch book "Unity" yet? I'm in two minds whether to get it so if anyone can recommend it, it would be appreciated.
Thanks all.

I could ruin it for you, but I won't. S.D. Perry ties up all the loose ends in the DS9 universe in this book. DEFINITELY worth getting. I can't wait for the new books "Worlds of DS9" coming out later in 2004.

I got it for Christmas. I almost don't want to read it.....you know how they say "Having is not so nice a thing as wanting"?
Anyway, this is an "Event" book.

Thanks all. You persuaded me. I've ordered it from Amazon Says it'll be dispatched in 1-2 weeks. Can't wait!

It arrived this morning. We were all out and the Post Lady decided that rather than take it back to the Post Office for safe-keeping, she'd hide it in the trailer. Which just so happens to be full of hedge from the garden that we'd trimmed the other day. She left a message "Amazon package inside trailer"...grrrr...there I was getting covered in leaves and bugs n stuff to find it. Lol, quite funny.
Anyways, only just started the book. I like how they put in a "history of the relaunch" at the beginning - I hadn't read Rising Son or the Klingon duology so it was nice to have it explained what happened in those.

Delta Flyer, go send me a PM when you're done and tell me if the book did Captain Sisko's return Justice. I won't be able to read it if it doesn't, although the fact the Books aren't Canon annoys me even more especially with the Slim chance of a Ds9 Movie

Lol, ok no problem. So far so good, though he isn't back yet.
I hope it doesn't just happen on the last couple of pages...

I finished it!
POTENTIAL SPOILERS

Not bad but seemed a little slow in places. Excellent storyline though; tied up alot of the plots already established and I liked the slightly ominous ending with Sisko having been sent for a purpose rather than just him coming back for the fun of it.
Thought Quark becoming Ambassador was a bit daft but there you go. Also, it seemed a little odd that all the "old-timers" returned at once...
