Wheres your Christmas spirit, lieutenant? The Doctor wondered, a little louder than what was necessary, while he loaded a hypospray.

Yes, I was wondering that myself It was probably knocked right out of me when everyone tumbled around like peas in a maracas

BElanna, could you please step out in the hallway, while I discuss something with our new little acquaintance here?

How BElanna began, but stopped herself and left the sickbay, suddenly aware of three pairs of eyes on her back.

Hes looking at her! The Doctor stated, like the Captain had yet to notice.

She, however, was already a step before him. Hes not looking at BElanna herself Shes got a little piece of tinsel on her back.

What do you mean, Captain?

I mean, that these aliens probably have a thing against the ornaments Neelix has put up everywhere, or more specifically, against bright and shiny things.

Some of the crew members have, too, and what can we do about either of those groups?

What we can do? We can show them some Christmas spirit, too. Both of those groups. She shot the yellow alien a look. He still rested his cheek at his knees, but he was looking at her, with big, dark eyes. Somehow, she wanted to pat it on the head, but remembered that it probably was as intelligent as she was, and stopped herself. She wouldnt like being patted on the head at alland especially not by someone who she had never seen before, who was twice as big as she was, who had hunted her round and round in circles.

Now that I finally got them,I'm going to post the chapters for tomorrow, (Christmas Eve! ) and the 25th, too. I don't know if I'll be able to come online during these days.

DECEMBER 24!

Kathryn was on her way to the Bridge, when she suddenly was hailed by Chakotay, who said that the alien vessels had surrounded Voyager.

Dont fire! I know what to do, now. Just tell Neelix to meet me on the bridge.
Janeway passed a corner, and almost ran into BElanna, Tom and Harry . Have you gotten your leg healed?

B'Elanna was about to answer, when Tom suddenly reached out and touched her back. "Tinsel," he said, and held the little blue piece up.
Oh... How did it get there? And, Captain, no, I haven't. But Im on my way to sickbay now.

You have to go there later, and bring that tinsel. Follow me, all of you.

December 25

Some time afterwards, all the alien vessels gathered in an artistic formation, powered up their engines, and took off further into the, to Voyager and her crew, unknown space.

On the Bridge, Captain Janeway sank down into her seat, letting out a sigh. Finally, thats over.

I have to say, Chakotay turned to her, since long ago in his own seat. Who would have guessed that all they wanted, was less of the glitters?

Remind me that I have to thank the crew some time, for gathering all the decorations in the mess in such a short period of time.

I think the volunteers mainly were those who didnt really care about all that fancy decorating from the start

That reminds me, Kathryn sat up straight in her seat. Did you find out what caused the ship to shake?

I could give you a detailed report on what we think it was, Captain. Tuvok answered. Or, we could go over it tomorrow, and settle with a distant ion storm tonight.

Kathryn smiled. Are you as tired as I am, Tuvok?

No, but I guess that you, as well as the greater part of the humans aboard, want to return to the holodeck, while there still is time.

The holodeck?

Yes, Neelix has got the program up and running again. Chakotay said. And I think there is someone here, who was about to make a toast.

THE END

Merry Christmas!

Danke schn, (Practising my German a little, since I for some reason formulate things in my head in german.)

Thanks, anyway. I worked in a little of the psychic alien part.

And, since it's Christmas tomorrow(!) I'll add a little bonus (I hope you think so). It's another winter/Christmas-story. Off site, however, since it's entered in a contest.

"Snowflakes"

I might post it here, too, later.

Again, Merry Christmas!
