well...if they make a voyager movie about these 2 books it would not follow the space time continum...data is dead

in nemisis and data is alive in homecoming and the farther shore so how? unless they replace the charater of data with B4 but janeway is already vice admeral in nemisis....i just confusiled my self

I think homecoming and farthers shore take place before nemesis

Yeah, Nemesis takes place something like 2 years after Voyager gets back. Homecoming and The Farther Shore are right after.
I finished Homecoming and am now on The Farther Shore. They are very simple reading, but still entertaining.

I bought both books about three months ago and never got around to reading them. They're just sitting there... collecting dust... Yep, I'm lazy.

Gosh, the writing just sucked.

I mean, a 3 year old could handle it. The longest word in the entire book was "Starfleet" very silly indeed. I hated the ending, Chakotay shouldn't have gotten Voyager. And they needed more C/7 and Kim/Libby towards the end of "The Farther Shore"

Chakotay getting Voyager = oppertunities for a movie or something.

Anything that allows Chakotay more screen time is good in my opinion, as he had precious little of it. And when he did get it, there were never enough episodes that showed what a character he had the potential to be (Tattoo being the only one I can think of at the moment).

And more C/7? No thanks. That was a crappy decision in the first place, (could they think of nothing else to do with Chakotay?) but putting Seven into more of the book when she was ruining the rest of it would have been a disaster.

I didn't like Chakotay at all.

And the only reason I say that there should have been more C/7 at the end becuase it was there through the first book, and then she (author) just dropped it all of a sudden.

The books were ok, but I think had alot more potential.

Another thing that bothered me was the fact that she made everybody out in the book who was supposed to be the bad guy (the borg queen and Baines) "good at heart, but misguided". That's silly, you want a character in a book like this that you can love to hate. I didn't care for her writing too much.

perhaps so, then can sorda tell the story of what happens after the book or spices 8472 can attack earth and the voyager crew returns to their ship and kicks some @$$!!!

I don't know what's wrong with you people, the book was great and pure genius after all it is very hard to relauch so I really give credit to Christie Golden, she has contributed many writings. I really think that there was legitimacy in dropping C/7 it was quite disruptive, and like said before, it was not a good decision in the very beginning with ST writers. Anyways, I really loved B'Elanna getting to see her mother one last time. It really almost, although I would never admit it, brought a tear to my eye, but then I pushed it back up there. It was thought provoking, and after all. It is great to at least to have some closure. You can't just attack her straight forward, she did a good job and I don't think there were hardly any flaws in it. I loved the borg storyline too. Anyways, if you want to retort, I'm listening.

That brings up another point I forgot to mention.

All this with B'Elanna and her mother, I didn't find it sad at all. The writer didn't show us their relationship well enough for it to be all that sad. They were together for like 3 hours. We didn't know anything about her and her mother by then. That ruined that part of the book as well.

I think the main thing that disapointed me about the books was that there wasn't enough vlosure. hell, if they're going to end the series crappily, then the books could have ended better. I don't like the idea of Chakotay being in charge. As much as I didn't like Janeway on the series, I think she's the only one who could command Voyager.

WEll, basically, it'll never be the same. They runied the adventure. Like Next Generation they ended so there were a bunch of possibilities left for the crew, hence all the movies. But Now Voyager's just basically over. And that's dumb.
