I've played the demo and it is awesome. I am going to have to buy the game.

A friend gave me the demo on a cd that came with a magazine. I do exactly as it tells me but it won't work. I copy the file onto my C:\ and when I try to run it, it asks if I want to enter a prize draw to win a copy of the game. I've tried "Yes" and "No" but whichever one I choose, I get a message "This Program has performed an illegal operation and will be terminated. If the problem persists, please contact your vendor"...very dissapointed when I got that

Anyone had a similar problem and knows how to fix it?

Problem solved; I used "Send to..." rather than the "Copy" and "Paste" commands and it worked fine.

Must...have...game...

It...is...too...good...for...words...

It's fantastic! The graphics are excellent! The demo storylines are excellent! Esspecially that one in the tomb; I really enjoyed that level. I always thought that there were not enough enemy Jedi in Jedi Outcast and here, there's a whole level of Jedi slaying! Lol, OK so I'm obsessed...

I esspecially liked the way you can have the three different kinds of saber. I tried the dual sabres and loved it even though I still prefer the single lol. I might try the Maul-style sabre tonight...

I might even do something I very rarely do; I might pay the RRP for it! I've only ever done that once, GTA Vice City lol.

I put the cheat in for all force powers and it works on the demo!
Press <Shift> and <`> and you get the "console". Then type "setforceall 9" for all force powers; you might have to set some of the commands up under control as well so you can use the force powers. When I was messing about, "God" worked (invulnerability) as well as "noclip" (Lets you fly )
...

Maybe some of the other cheats from Jedi Outcast work as well, I'll have to try them In fact, I think I'll go on it now

You're not obsessing, are you?

I downloaded a mod called 'I was a Teenage Jedi!', which adds several races, unfortunatly they replace the already existing ones It also changes some characters into EPII characters.

Im currently playing with my Nautolan Jedi(Same race as Kit Fisto in EPII, the green guy with big black eyes and tentacles on the back of his head ). He's very cool, yeeeees.

Rosh: I was wrong!

Jaden: No...You were weak.

THAT is the coolest line in the game.

Ah yes how could I have forgotten that one

Now I wonder if there'll be a JK4, a two sided one to start with. If you choose the light side you continue as Jaden, saving people blah blah. Then some new threat pops up and you go to save everyone from it. If you choose to start from the dark side, you can go all around the galaxy (with the scepter as a weapon! Wouldn't that be cool?) blowing stuff up, killing innocent people, destroying everything you don't care about. (lol, what would you care about except your own life and the scepter?) Then the new threat pops up and you want to eliminate it so it won't get in your way. Then at the end you confront Kyle again. Either he will talk you into going back to the light side, or you'll kick his ass. Maybe I should submit that if they don't already have an idea.

There should be whole new plot in JK4, hence, the Scepter is destroyed.

But I liked the idea, other than that.

Another idea I have, is a game like Jedi Knight 2 or 3 but without Jedi. ( )Instead, I think you should play as either a Rebel or Imperial. You'd be allowed to choose, of course. And there would be big battles between Rebels and Imperials and the player would participate in those battles, or go in behind enemy lines and do some serious damage.

The scepter is destroyed only when you choose the light side. When you choose the dark side you claim it and take control of an Imperial star destroyer.

Me? Obsessing? Surely not!

Yeah, so I spent 6 hours going over the console commands and found 21 different cheat codes, all of which require a 2.1 version-specific patch...

Only joking

I've looked at the mods for them, Jedi Outcast mainly...I look on and dream - my iccle 56k modem has heart attacks at the sizes of some of these files.

Lol, I do!

I got Jedi Outcast for Gamecube for a tenner on eBay and I CANNOT get the hang of the controls! I already have it for PC but (as mentioned before ) my connection is really bad and I get loads of lag...so I figured it might be a laugh on Gamecube (using the second controller)...but can I control it? Heck, no!

Man that scepter was cool. I hope JK4, if there is going to be one, is something like the idea i posted earlier.

Yep, it runs on DirectX 9 and the Quake 3 arena. You need to have at least a Geforce 3. of course, i recommend the Geforce FX series cards. Now those things have power.

WRONG. I don't want to completely go off topic, but the Radeon 9X-XT series runs circles around their GeForce FX competitors (a Radeon 9600-XT can be had for $200 and it outperforms the GeForce FX 5900-NU which retails for $300). I have a Radeon 9200 Pro and Jedi Academy runs smooth as silk.

And the Quake 3 engine was DirectX8.1, not DirectX9. Thanks for answering my question though,

Anyone want to talk about it? KOTOR is way better but this game is still fun I usually get the double bladed saber for some reason. Two sabers just seems kinda weird.

the game is great since you learn to be a jedi, in kotor u cant really change the fight --> depends on yer stats

in jk3 however its your own skill that determine the outcome, i have them both (games i mean ) and i love them both

There's a really fun way to kill people. I discovered it when I fought Alora for the second time. U need lvl 3 grip and lvl 3 jump. Grip em and then jump as high as you can and fling em into the air. They slam into the ground. Killed Alora with that one move. Ah it's so fun being evil...
