Thu Dec 18, 2003 3:55 am Wright Brothers Plane Re-Creating Flight Fails |
|
In kitty hawk north carolina some guys from the Wright Brothers Mueseum created a replica of the plane attempted to fly it, with President Bush watching and hundreds of specatators and media. The plane was delayed by rain for a few hours. Then when the rain stopped they attempted to fly it the plane got off 1 or 2inches from the ground then crashed into a pile of muddy waters.

I really wanted to see the plane fly like 20feet of well.

Yeah, that would have been cool. It must have been exciting if you were there though. 100 years of flight, and look at the advances. Planes that can fly over mach 6, at the edge of space and others that can carry 500+ passengers. Considering it took just 100 years to advance to that from a small plane that flew a few yards it's amazing.
