|
Hey, it's Christmas soon! And all over the world, calendars' begin. Even here.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
December 1
Christmas Eve. The greater part of the hardworking crew on Voyager were just sitting down at a very long, and very beautiful table, filled with all kinds of food. It was solemnly decorated by Neelix, who had accepted only a little help from Harry Kim.
The few unlucky ones, who were assigned to the late shift or in Commander Chakotays case; the shift he had assigned himself to swallowed their, more or less pronounced, chagrin knowing theyd all get their share of food and festivities later.
Wrapped up in the warm and cheerful aura of the event that Voyagers crew had turned the annual party into, Captain Janeway lifted her glass of homemade eggnog, and was just about to make a toast
But alas, in the same moment as she opened her mouth, the ship began to tremble, with a rhythm that quickly grew into a series of violent shakings.

The eggnog splashed over the rim of the Captains glass, and landed in the middle of the food on her plate. The mistletoe fell down from the ceiling, fragile ornaments fell from the beautiful and very symmetric tree, hit the hard floor and suddenly were thousands of little pieces spread all over the floor. People tried to hold on to the table, but it shook so violently that most of the crew ended up on the floor.
Finally, the holographic room simply shimmered out of view, and shortly after that all was still again.

Someone must have routed power from the holodeck, BElanna Torres decided, while rising from the floor. Her red, knee-long dress had a disfiguring rip over the right thigh.
A little dazed, the Captain got up from the floor with the help of her Chief Engineer. She gazed at the grids around her, and then promptly tucked her tousled hair behind her ears. Ill be on the Bridge, she said, straightened her back and left the holodeck.

She stalked her way to the Bridge; her territory, her playground. There were members of the crew everywhere, staggering forward to get to their places as soon they could. Kathryn literally shoved everything -- and everyone -- that didn't clear the way soon enough out of her way.
Her heels drummed against the carpets in the all too long hallways, her red hair billowed behind her. The only one who possibly could see anything comical in that situation was probably Q.

Today is indeed the 6th, I'm here again... And I have the parts for yesterday and today. Thanks everyone for being so patient.
December 5
Chakotay, ho had been on the Bridge the whole time, was not so little puzzled when Janeway exited the turbolift which had brought her to her destination. He didnt know what he had expected - perhaps the sober dress uniform but he was certain that his expectation hadnt been anything near a long evening gown, blue as the sky on Earth just before a thunderstorm.
What was that? Kathryn demanded to know, straightened her dress and placed herself in the captains seat.
December 6
Im afraid, Chakotay said, that the correct term would be Who are them?
She followed his finger to the main view screen, where a dozen small spheres could be seen. They were all completely still, dark and unsettlingly lifeless. It seemed like those alien vessels were ornaments hanging in front of a dark velvet fabric. That would have been beautiful, tasteful, calming. When it all was framed by the interior of Voyagers bridge, however, it did not seem all that peaceful.
