ok maybe not entirely new but a new applcation for it.
If you get a whopping great voltage and slap it through a capasitor. i'll move in a certain direction (usually up (with the pins down.))
If we could het enougth of theese cap's string then all together and put a continue'd voltage through them....... ;-D

Modern physics is struggling with questions like:
What is space? How does a particle get from one place to another?
These may sound like silly questions, but they are very fundamental. Quantum mechanics views the movement of a particle as a statistical matrix of what probability it has to be at a particular place at a particular time. I'm still trying to find out the M theory view of movement.
It has been proposed that:
1) IF you could somehow "anchor" the back end of a spaceship to "normal" space, then
2) IF you could warp the space enclosing that spaceship in order to "stretch" it, then
3) IF you could "anchor " the front end of the spaceship to "normal" space, then
4) IF you could un-warp space, returning the spaceship to its original length, and
5) IF you could do this over and over very fast
THEN
You could travel at any speed, because this would not be "movement" in the normal sense, and any passengers in this "ship" would not be subject to acceleration or relativistic effects.

Just an idea! LOL Quantum Physics and mechanics i'd love to learn an overview of this.
My idea was that if you could harness enougth electricity (Static) for example and push it through a componant real fast. you should get some movement. Get enougth of theese componants and you could move in space you can't anchor your self to anything so therefore you shouls be able to move?
