PostTue Nov 04, 2003 4:17 pm    Message From America (from Robin Williams)

I see a lot of people yelling for peace but I have not heard of a plan for peace. So, here's my plan:

1. The US will apologize to the world for our "interference" in their affairs, past & present. You know, Hitler, Mussolini, Tojo, Noriega, Milosovich and the rest of those 'good ole boys.' We will never
"interfere" again.

2. We will withdraw our troops from all over the world, starting with Germany, South Korea and the Philippines. They don't want us there. We would station troops at our borders. No one sneaking through holes in the fence.

3. All illegal aliens have 90 days to get their affairs together and leave. We'll give them a free trip home. After 90 days the remainder will be gathered up and deported immediately, regardless of who or where they are. France would welcome them.

4. All future visitors will be thoroughly checked and limited to 90 days unless given a special permit. No one from a terrorist nation would be allowed in. If you don't like it there, change it yourself and don't hide here. Asylum would never be available to anyone. We don't need any more cab drivers or 7-11 cashiers.

5. No "students" over age 21. The older ones are the bombers. If they don't attend classes, they get a "D" and it's back home baby.

6. The US will make a strong effort to become self-sufficient energy wise. This will include developing non-polluting sources of energy but will require a temporary drilling of oil in the Alaskan wilderness. The caribou will have to cope for a while.

7. Offer Saudi Arabia and other oil producing countries $10 a barrel for their oil. If they don't like it, we go some place else. They can go somewhere else to sell their production. (About a week of the wells filling up the storage sites would be enough.)

8. If there is a famine or other natural catastrophe in the world, we will not "interfere." They can pray to Allah or whomever, for seeds, rain, cement or whatever they need. Besides most of what we give them is stolen or given to the army. The people who need it most get very little, if anything.

9. Ship the UN Headquarters to an isolated island some place. We don't need the spies and fair weather friends here Besides, the building would make a good homeless shelter or lockup for illegal
aliens.

10. All Americans must go to charm and beauty school. That way, no one can call us "Ugly Americans" any longer. Now, ain't that a winner of a plan.
"The Statue of Liberty is no longer saying 'Give me your poor, your tired, your huddled masses.' She's got a baseball bat and she's yelling, 'You want a piece of me?'"

That's Robin Williams plan for peace

As do I. Just pay back all loans, first. Pay for everything we've ever given you.

Good, Run for office and do something about it. I'll do the same over here. The interest now must be more than the loan, eh?

I've always thought that his Peace Plan was the best idea this country's ever had.

Doesnt work like that here. You forget(Or didnt know) that Sweden is a dictature that makes people think its a democracy.

You cant run for Office. The ones that are already in office will do anything to keep others away.

I better get out of the country then .

I think most of the ideas are good, but one or two might cause serious problems, or weren't quite correct. You were forced into WW2, not interfering. Also you'd get accused of racism if you didn't take in refugees, and some are proper ones, not economic ones. Apart from those, it seems good.

Well they do say if America never involved itself against Hitler in WW2, he would have gradually built up an army in Nazi Europe and probably in the 1960's, invade America with the help of Japan and Italy. I read it somewhere in an alternative history page.

It's so easy for countries like France, Germany and Russia, to forget about what America did for them in past wars. Yeah, I did say Russia. If America didn't beat up Hitler on other war fronts, Hitler would've been able to send more fire power on Russia. And, the French president makes me sick... making money deals with his bed fellow, Hussein, before the American invasion, and now he's mad 'cuz he's not getting his money right now... Also, he doesn't want to send help, but he wants to say how things should be done in Iraq. That guy's trying to get into the game without paying his way.
Sometimes it makes me think that we should just pull out of Iraq, 'cuz the ppl are ungrateful. Then I think, I couldn't be more wrong. Just 'cuz of the terrorist minority, it seems like its insane to be over there. But, when someone can chase Hitler, Hussein, or some other tyrant out of power, that's a good thing for the ppl that want to live a good and happy life.
America is expected by the almost silent majority, to go and help other countries when they need it. But, its always the minority, with the big mouths, that make everyone think that its a bad idea.
Kuwait is liberated... Afghanistan is liberated... and now Iraq is on its way. I think that's good news. Syria may be next, if they keep it up with the terrorism!

Wich parts do you think are a good idea? Digging up the alaskan wilderness, letting people go hungry, dismantling the UN, or letting murderous tyrants control countries and weapons of mass destruction?

Personally, i don't think that all of that stuff is right, but he upon some pretty good points.
1. Dismantle the damn UN. That organization has caused much more harm than good.
2. Get rid of all illegal aliens. Just think, that could free up quite a few jobs, and that way when you order a burger you can at least find out what your change is suppose to be.
I don't that we can pull our troops from certain countries. They still need us.
3. Also, why should we give people economic and physical help, when they stab us in the back with a bomb. Stop feeding the terrorists. Yes, we should help some of the ordinary people, but not terrorists. We are practically paying them to attack the pentagon again.

Dont dismantle the UN, moving the headquarters to like, Paris or Berlin or something would be good.
About the Alaskan wilderness, none of my concern. Do whatever you want with it.
People GET hungry because of the U.S.A. If you would stop buying up all of the natural resources in South America, they would get a chance to build up their economy.
And about the rge murderous tyrants, they're none of you business, for Pete's sake!

None of our business, hmm?? So when England, or better yet, France comes to us for help again, we tell them go to hell? That'd go over well. "Hey, France, we don't want to waste our resources on you, shut up."
Not to mention the scenario that the tyrant takes over all of Europe. Do you see the threat to the US then? I know you don't care, but we do. Kinda like things where they are.

Buying from South America..... build up their economy. An influx of money doesn't help an economy? I must've not been paying attention in economics. If their guerilla armies, and their tyrants didn't stop stealing everything from them, and if the government started using the money and staples sent to them for the good of the people instead of their own selfish wants, then the economy would grow astronomically. You try to say Castro is a good guy. Right.

And you try to say that Bush is a good guy. Right.

And if you would give the South American countries a bit more than 10% of the income they would do much better.
