I have to hear about America being the great saviour for all countries in Europe after world war II and I can't see Germany as the great evil nation? Isn't it weird that I can't judge the current generation for what their parents, grandma's etc. have done and yet I have to be thankful towards the United States? I vaguely remember something from before the war in Iraq started, American weapon transports wanted to go through Belgian territory and the Belgian goverment opposed this because of a law, then the Belgians were told to be quiet and just be thankful the Americans saved them in world war II. I'm not sure if it was entirely like this but I'll find a source about it later. So don't you think that is weird, I can't blame the current German generation for wold war II but I have to be thankful to the current American generaton for saving us?

I didn't really know where to post this but I thought this might have been the most apropiate section.

I don't feel much empathy for the French, because of how they acted in WWII, if that makes you feel any better.

And who says you can't dislike a country for that reason? The only reason I don't dislike Germans is because, IMO, the people who followed Hitler were not themselves haters, but cowards, afraid to stand up for themselves. Afraid with just cause.
Any nation that thinks their people are superior to others, America included, is in for a big wake up call.

One more thing, America continues to save others even now. As no doubt do many other nations. I think more countries are willing to let the US use the clout of WWII, in fear of the US calling in all of the loans granted immediately thereafter, an action which would bankrupt half of existing Europe.
