PostThu Oct 23, 2003 5:19 am    Best Sci-fi Flicks

I have seen many sci-fi movies. Some sci-fi movies are cheesy, some deserve an award. I wouldn't mind watching some more though. List some of the sci-fi movies you like and maybe some of us can check it out.

Here are my recommendations (relative):

Gattaca................................ A+
Dark City.............................. A
Minority Report..................... A-
The Cube.............................. B+

The Matrix............................. B
The X-Files Movie................... B+
X-Men................................... B+
Lost In Space......................... F
Independence Day................. B
Star Wars Ep. 1..................... D
Star Wars Ep. 2..................... D+
Total Recall........................... B
Red Planet............................ B-
Terminator........................... B+
Terminator 2........................ B
Cube 2: Hypercube................ D-

Most of the ones I recall at the moment are big ones we've all probably already seen, but here we go

Star Trek *all 10* A++++ *obviously we've all seen those *
The Matrix A+++++
The X-Files Move A+++++++++++
X-Men *both movies* A++++
Lost In Space B+
Men In Black *both movies* A
Independence Day A
Star Wars *the original 3 movies* A++
Star Wars Ep. 1 A-
Star Wars Ep. 2 A+
Total Recall *I think that's what it's called, the one where arnold schwarzeneggar was cloned* A+
Attack From Mars *I think that's the name* D
Red Planet B+
Armageddon *does that count?* A++
Terminator A+++
Terminator 2 A-

That's about all I can think of right now...

*edited*

The Langoliers B+ - The story was good, but the theories on time travel are just... too dumb

Is that the film in which only people with good enough genes get anywhere in life? And some guy tries to trick the system?

If so I've always wanted to see that film.
