OK, this is where you can talk about the new Harry Potter book. Warning to all that have not read it... it'll contain details about the book that you may not wish to know in advance.
Right, first of all, the answer to the question that everyone was asking me.
Who was killed in the book?
The answer is Sirius Black, Harry's Guardian.
What did Dumbledore say to Harry that he should have said 5 years before?
A lot of things, including a prophecy, the reason why he has to stay in Privet Drive, and why Voldemort's soo mad.
OK, I'll do more tomorrow, with a full report on the story

Padfoot since he is an anamangi (sp?) he can transform into a giant bearlike dog. he was also James Potter's (Harry's dad) best friend and the supposed murderer of Peter Pitegrew? a.k.a. wormtail who is a.ka. scabbers ron's rat

I just finished it the other day. In my opinion it was the best Harry Potter book yet. I went to Borders for thier party until midnight.Once I got home I read for 2 hours,I slept in very late that Sunday. It was unfortuneate that Sirus had to die though.

J K Rowling wanted a twist in the story, and make harry's life more miserable, and not have a happy, evrything's alright kind of ending, so she killed of somebody that was close to harry and whose death would affect the story somewhat and the lives of the charaters mainly harry's but is not crucial to the plot like the main characters hermione, ron or harry. Colin Creevey(spelling?) is not close enough to harry, Moody wasn't either. neville... i'm not oo sure, probably cause he's part of the prophecy thing... anyway, the prophecy mentioned that one had to die before the other could destroy voldemort or something like that right? i need to re-read the last part to make sure.

I thought maybe Harry lost his rag a bit too often for my liking. I loved the story, it was great.
Just a little thing. People see Thestrals after they have witnessed someone die. Correct? Harry did not see the Thestrals (on the coaches going into Hogwarts) until this book (Luna Lovegood points them out, I think). Still correct? That was because Cedric died/was killed in front of Harry at the end of the last book. But, Harry saw his parents die, when he was a baby. So why didn't he see the Thestrals before????
JK Rowling did a reading and an interview at the Royal Albert Hall in London, I did not see either of them, but at www.darkmark.com the people there have said that when she was asked about this, she said that the death needed time to "sink in" (I think that's what she said). She didn't explain why Harry didn't see them earlier. Any suggestions?

probabely because he was so young the baby didnt understand what was happening.
also i think he didnt actually see them die.
His dad was in another room because his mom was running and i think i saw in the movie his mom was holding his face to her chest.
So either way i dont think it counted to see thestrals.

^ I must disagree. I didn't like the writing style all that well, and I didn't like Harry's new character flaws. Flaws are good, but Harry's new ones don't become him at all. I couldn't bear to finish it, and neither could my friends. Won't be reading #6. Sorry if I offend anyone, just my opinion.

^ I agree, partially at least. The writing style seemed very different, and Harry's 'anger' got old fast. He began to get very annoying. The start of the book seemed a bit slow as well... I think it picked up about half way through, thankfully. I did finish it though (stayed up until late so I wouldn't break my two day record ). Definitely not as good as the others, but I think I'll be reading six and seven.
