I see no one. Blackness surrounds me, torments me, taunts me.

The short breaths I take are like shards of glass piercing my skin, penetrating me.

I bleed a cold, shallow pool of repetance. I will soon take my final swim.

No god have I prayed to, no god have I confided my deepest secrets to. So who do I confide in now?

My eyes tear as I cry my final words, �Semper Fi�. I succumb to the darkness, to the cold.

I now know what hell is like, as I am descending into it gradually. I feel the flames.

But with hell, there is a devil, so with heaven there must be a god. Have I committed myself to agony?

I am alone now, surrounded by searing flames that consume and devour my flesh,

And I think to myself-why?
