By looking at my name you can tell I am not that much of a Star Trek fan, although I watch TNG frequently, I don't really seem to get gripped into it. But today an episode called 'I, Borg' was on and I have to say it was great!

Is that the one with Hugh? That was one of the better episodes that I've seen. A new insight to the Borg, too.

Yeah that was the "Hugh" one...BBC2 right? I didn't get chance to see it last night (Went to see about getting a new dog )
I remember seeing it before and it was pretty good. Looking at Hugh though you can see how "old-style" he looks compared to the latter seasons of Voyager's borg...

Yeah, I saw it. It's one of the episodes that makes me glad that I don't care that people think Trekkers (well, Trekkers my age) are geeks. Trek seems to be stereotyped as a really technical, sciency show with bald guys and people with wrinkly foreheads and pointy ears, but, as proved by I, Borg it really centres on the ethics of a different day and age. Am I stating the obvious?
My fave bit is where Geordi names the borg...No, that's it. Hugh!. Not you, Hugh!
It did saoud really strange to hear a borg say...Resistance is...not...futile?

Doesn't he come back, leading the "Borg Resistance" in Descent Part 2...maybe Part 1 as well, I can't remember...
I thought that episode was good...didn't it have Crusher commanding the Enterprise in the battle against the Borg ship?

Yes, that is true, Hugh returns in "Descent, part II", he helps Riker and Worf saving Jean-Luc, Troi and Geordi, and Crusher has command of the Enterprise and fights the borg ship. She finally destroys it with the help of the metaphasic shield (or something, I don't know the exact name *lol*) which makes the Enterprise able to fly into the corona of the sun. The Borg ship is then destroyed by a sun eruption caused by the Enterprise (don't ask me exactly how )

Which of course credit on that piece of technology was not given to the true inventor.
It was that Ferengi guy, it was just a few episodes earlier in fact.
Oh, I forget his name, but I know LaForge didn't come up with it.
And Hugh was cool. I like the conversation between "Locutus" and Hugh.
That was pretty cool.
