I would say the DS9 relaunch series, not so much the early numbered novels but definately the reluanch. I liked the Section 31 novel the best probably...I liked the way that was written; it actually managed to build up some tension which, I don't think, many Star Trek books manage to do.
Mainly I liked the continuity between all the relaunch books...I thought it was about to time Trek did that rather than continuing as they were; there were too many inconsistancies building up IMO.

I prefer the mini series books like badlands, invasion, and dominion wars but out of the regular series books I prefer DS9 but the same goes for episodes so I guess I just prefer DS9 overall.

I can't say what series... Mine is a combo of Next Gen, and TOS... Mainly TNG though... So i gues that. It is the Odyssey and Mirror Universe sagas. They intertwine. William Shatner wrote them. (Ashes Of Eden, The Return, Avenger, then Spectre, Dark Victory, and Preserver) It is a great mini series. It's action packed, has Kirk, Spock, McCoy and some TNG and Voy people too.

I can't believe no one thinks that TOS books were some of the best written Trek books ever. You young pups might not remember, but there was a long stretch beginning in the seventies where Star Trek had no television presence at all (except cartoons & OS reruns). Until the OS movies started coming out in the early 80's the characters lived on through books and fan fiction. One thing I particularly liked about the OS books was that you really got a better look at the more alien members of the Federation. I recommend 'The Wounded Sky' or 'Uhura's Song' as must read TOS classics.

I think that each series' books have their own high points. Three Minute universe is a book I like from TOS, Vendetta and Imzadi for TNG, The Seige from DS9. As for Voyager, I liked Ragnarok, but I've only read a few of them, so I can't rightly say.

I enjoy them all, but I have to say DS9 relaunch are some of the best fiction written, not just Star Trek. They draw you in, until you feel like you're really watching what's going on.

It was Voyager, hands down. No argument necessary.

The best Trek book I've read---to the best of my memory---was unquestionably DS9: A Stitch In Time. Its pretty much Garak's autobiography, and it far outclasses pretty much *anything* else.
Another strong contender is Peter David's Q Squared.

Honestly, even though I love the VOY books, I think TNG books are the best.
But that's only because that includes the Imzadi books and Peter David is a really good writer.
But another book I really like is called Dark Passions by Susan Wright, which are really cool because it's in a parallel universe and stuff. It's based around the chicks of Seven, Kira, B'Elanna, Deanna, and some other people too. They're really cool

Dark Passions takes place in the universe first seen in TOS: "Mirror, Mirror", and updated to the 24th century by several DS9 eps.
Its a decent read, but not what I'd call stellar.
