Sat Sep 27, 2003 12:00 pm Star Trek TNG is sweet 16!!!!!! |
|
Quote: | On September 28, 1987 the long awaited second chapter of the Star Trek saga began with "Encounter at Farpoint." Star Trek: The Next Generation introduced a new captain, a new crew and a redesigned U.S.S. Enterprise to a world that had been eagerly anticipating their arrival for over 17 years. Fans of the original series and new viewers were not disappointed and by the time the show reached its dramatic final episode seven years later it was clear that The Next Generation had made history. Not only by re-inventing and re-invigorating the Star Trek universe but also by becoming one of the most popular and successful syndicated television shows in history.
To celebrate the sixteenth birthday of ST:TNG we are featuring all the lists and behind-the-scenes features, interviews and chat transcipts here for you to peruse. We invite you to sit down, perhaps with a cup of Earl Grey tea (hot) and remember the great moments of this great show |
HAPPY SWEET 16 TNG

I was born in 1986 but never watched it. It was only by chance I saw a couple of the Season 7 episodes and after it showed there was a trailer for DS9 (back in the days when Trek was actually advertised on the BBC!) and it looked pretty good and it was that that actually got me into Trek in the first place...and Enterprise that pretty much pushed me out lol!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
I was born in 1990, so I'm too young to remember watching it when it first came out, but my cousin and my mum are fans and I remember them watching it. My cousin stayed with us when I was about 7 while he was at University and he would always say 'Space. The final frontier.' in such a good impression of Picard that you just had to laugh....

My mom was 6 months pregnant with me when the first show aired... so I was around for MOST of the first season... I remember my dad watching it later on when I was little. I remember watching the episode where guinan and ro and that other woman and picard were all turned into kids with him. haha me and TNG's sweet 16's are 2 1/2 months apart. That's funny Happy birthday TNG!

Patrick Stewart was in:
-Generations
-First Contact
-Insurection
-Nemesis
Nope only four unless you count his other movies like:
-Xmen
-X2
There are also many more but these are the most known I think.
