Or how TNG seemed to glorify Riker's avid sexual taste for alien women, or at least, present it in undertones and subtle messages? What's worse? Visual exposure or mental/subconcious exposure?

OK here comes the river! At least young, innocent minds don't understand menal/subconcious exposure. Now I'm not being over sensitive on this, I wasn't bothered by any of the close cut scenes with 7of9, but this scene with T'Pol...let just say I've seen milder stuff in R- rated movies!

Man... you're not watching very horrific R rated movies.
In my opinion, since I do have a kid, it doesn't bother me that a 'show' would expose people to something like that. She's still covering herself, as if to show that she has some sense of morals about her. Now, if she let it all hang... which I would not mind at all, I'd be a little more objective.
You're making a big deal about a woman cupping her breasts on national TV. MTV and others have shown far worse.

I didnt have a prob with the t'pol thing though....besides boosting ratings...since the t'pol thing was unexpected...im left to wonder why they added it...wether it was to make that ep more exciting..or if theres going to bea new relationship formed this season.

People like two things: DRAMA and GORE.
If you don't have either or in any good amounts, the show usually ends up sucking. Why do you think Soaps are so popular? DRAMA-GALORE!

OK,OK! I'll Let the T'Pol thing rest. I was over-reacting. It did kinda suprise me though. I'd expect something like that from MTV or something like that... that's cable. UPN is network. I guess that's why it's on late night, not prime time. I heard the 2nd ep was good so I'll give ENT one more chance.

I really haven't been able to view too much of Enterprise , but the episodes I have seen I wasn't terribly impressed with. I think it's Captain Archer, it just seems like he's a little too wishy washy. I guess I still see him as the character in Quantum Leap. Plus there is the fact that we already know the future of the federation and it takes the element of surprise out of it. (kind of like how they did the Star Wars backwards).
