The crew of the Enterprise E is, with the exception of a few people, is the same crew of the Enterprise D

What should Archer had put in the Database? Something like this perhaps?

Yes! they can put that!

And that would make Picard realize the second he met the Borg that it's them?
BTW. What does it matter if the most part of the Enterprise E crew is the same as Enterprise D? It WAS Enterprise E's crew that made the encounter.

Enterprise D crew is the Enterprise E crew, save Data, who was blown to bits in Nemesis. The crew of the Enterprise met the Borg after Q shot them into the Delta Quadrant in one of his hissy fits.

Oh, man.
First of all, this has nothing to do with the topic.
Second, it doesn't matter if it's the same crew on both ships, because it WAS Enterprise E that met the Borg.

If you say that the Enterprise E met the Borg in 2053, sure, I'll give you that; but before First Contact, it was the Enterprise D.

Yes, I know that. The thing is that he said that the crew of Enterprise E was almost the same as Enterprise D. I mean, it's more correct to say the crew of Enterprise E than to say that it's *almost* the same crew as the Enterprise D. Can we drop this now?

Yes. I agree. The argument that you two were having was pointless and off the subject, so I shall change the subject.
I like Enterprise. It's my second favorite Star Trek series (next to voyager of course ) It was the first ST series that I really watched. I don't care about the timeline. Someone said that more non-trekkies are watching it than real-trekkies then do you honestly think that they care or even know about the timeline? I mean you guys are taking it way too seriously. Star Trek is a television show. It is meant to entertain. You guys that are finding these technicallities are watching this series simply to find some reason to say that it isn't perfect. I mean, just watch the show. And as I said, it was the first Star Trek series that I saw. It was what made me the trekkie that I am today. As I also said, non-trekkies are watching it. It will introduce them to Star Trek. They will see it, they will like it, and they will want more. So then, what happens? they become trekkies. What is bad about it. Even now that I'm a trekkie. I still enjoy it because I don't look at it for "timeline accuracy" As far as I'm concerned, if you watch things for that reason, you shouldn't watch them. All that you would be seeing about it are the faults not any of the good things. tisk tisk. so sad

I agree with you B'Ellana... I like Enterprise, too. There will always be people that nit-pick. There's probably only one reason I wouldn't like any Star Trek series is if it was too much like a soap opera, like DS9 was most of the time or if there's too much boring stuff on the holodeck, also. I think they changed the theme song a little on Enterprise. I don't think the song used drums the first year and now they do use drums. I liked the first year version more, but I still like it.
I think that the ideas for Voyager is the best, yet. It will be tough for Paramount to top it.
Also, I don't hold it against the producers too much... but they do need to try harder to not have episodes contradict each other and try to keep the timeline true. There's just too many people and specialists in the credits to not catch the mistakes.

I think it's a tad bit annoying when they make big timeline errors, but who cares? It's still a rockin' show. I just think they shouldn't have any more episodes about archer or archer and another crew member *usually trip, sometimes malcom* getting held by some alien governement. At least not for awhile... like next season or something. It's way overdone. I think the recent episode where archer, hoshi, malcom, and t'pol were stuck on the planet and 3 of them were transformed into aliens was one of the best and most creative episodes yet. They need more like that... and more involvement with the xindi. And trip and t'pol should get together... lol
OOOoooooohhh, remember that one where trip was pregnant? teehee

True, but you have to remember that these are the early days of deep space exploration for Earth. There's no Federation, which means that aside from help (if you can call it that) from the Vulcans, they are all alone in uncharted space, meeting all these races for the very first time. So it's logical to assume that they will come across some not-so-friendly species. And besides, there's no Federation yet, so the reputation the Fed. has for good will hasn't been established yet.
Also take into account that Archer is the first Starfleet captain. He has no prior captains to look to, nor has he recieved the same training that his predecessors have had.
I say give Enterprise a chance. It's a really good show (even if it does have some very bad episodes) which I think is very underrated.

Erm, that's a BAD thing? The space fights are the coolest scenes you can have in a space show. Plus you've got to remember, it's a lot easier to make those kind of special effects now than it was then. The more time that goes by, the better the special effects get, so obviously they use them more. It looks practically real now, when let's face it, the effects in TOS were pretty lame.

I believe that Voyager was the most original Star Trek series created and when I watch Enterprise, I never think " Enterprise reminds me of Voyager " or even close to it.
As far as more action in Star Trek, I say " Go for it ". Voyager was a perfect blend of action and drama. If they ever decide to make another Star Trek movie, I hope it's as action packed as " Aliens ". I just hope they never make another boring series like DS9, although the last 6 weeks of that series had good action in it. I really hate soap operas and I really like Voyager.

With me, I think there's already too much action in Enterprise already. Nearly all the episodes end with some kind of fire-fight; be it ship-to-ship or an away team or what have you, many episodes end the same. I can remember in TNG, DS9 and early Voyager when I used to look forward to episodes where I knew there was going to be a fight scene but now, I think that with Enterprise, we've come to expect fight scenes. I might've posted a similar post before, I can't remember
For example, compare the number of times we saw a ship-to-ship battle in The Original Series and the number of times we see a ship-to-ship battle in Enterprise...alot more in Enterprise than in TOS...
Mind you, that could show a change in audience or audience expectations as people come to slowly expect these dramatic action scenes in science fiction shows...
That's another reason why Babylon 5 is one of my favourite sci-fi shows. Only a few episodes are "battle" episodes. Most of the others are spent building up to this episode (particulary in seasons 3, 4 and 5) and are occasionally a bit slow to get going. However, once the battle gets going, it IS a battle.
I think that was one of the problems with Nemesis. There was alot of expectation for a bit battle, and for us fans, it WAS a bit battle. But for the non-fan, it wasn't all that great I don't think. Look at it this way, you've got Lord of the Rings: Two Towers in which you have HUNDREDS of "units" fighting on truly epic proportions. But in Nemesis, you have, what, 3 ships attacking each other. Compared to the scenes in Lord of the Rings, the battle in Nemesis wasn't all that special...
When they mentioned that the Enterprise E was going to rendezvous with the fleet I thought that things were looking up; maybe there would be some impressive CGI in the "fleet action" but no- the ship didn't get that far.
Anyway, I've gone way off topic havn't I lol.

I don't like Archer either, but now I like him more after "Twilight" than I did before. What I don't like is the thought of Archer and T'Pol having some kind of romantic relationship, possibly, in the future.

Enterprise is bad simply because it pisses on 35 years of trek continuity. It has no heart or passion in any of it's "writing", and the past 2.5 seasons of rehashes has proven that B&B are already out of ideas for the show. And the ratings are also indicative that nobody gives a toss for the show either, as it is pulling the same type of ratings as Voyager got in it's last seasons.
The show has no redeeming features whatsoever, and really it sould be put out of it's misery as soon as possible.
