Which of course, was set in the future. So, technically speaking, it didn't happen.

I think the name of the ship was Oddesy I can't be sure though.

just because the Odyssey was destroyed doesn't mean that they can't create another ship using that name look at the enterprise if they stoped the name it would have been over when Kirk activated the self destruct in ST 3. Anyway I was wrong no biggie.
