Well I never liked TOS or TNG all that much but without him, there'd have been no DS9 or Voyager or Enterprise (Dunno if we should thank him for Enterprise or not;))

Is that the one with the guy from Hercules in? Kevin Sorb or something?

I've seen it a couple of times but didn't like it....I thought it was just cheap sci-fi lol...whoops...

I apologise for my sacrilgious words above (and also my spelling of sacriligious)

Didn't Roddenberry do Earth: Final Conflict as well? I know he did another sci-fi series but I can't remember the name...I know I didn't like it either lol...

No; I like a range of sci-fi shows. Trek might be good (perhaps "was" might be a better word than "be) but I think my favourite is Star Wars although I'm a big fan of Babylon 5 also.

I didn't know he died of cancer; I know he got his ashes taken up into space though...

Jeff. You have not written 18540 posts here. What are you, Q? Do you have unlimited control of the space-time continuum?

Anyway, Roddenberg died in '91, I believe, of cardiac arrest.

Jeff needs a hobby,

Gene Roddenberry is very cool. TOS was awesome. It had to be. Trek had a solid foundation, too bad it's collapsing.
