if we clicked our heels and believe in our sad society, we just might make it to space before the rapture

Then let me ask you..
Where is the proof that we are heading in that direction.

Just because we have a space program doesn't mean we are headed in the direction of interstellar travel.

We may not even have visted the moon. There is some startling evidence that America has nver been there. I'll get into that if you want me to, but not right now.

So, no, we aren't really headed in that direction. We are headed in the direction of UNDERSTANDING the universe before anything else.

I don't think that we could ever get along long enough for a Federation to form between planets.

FTL travel is immpossble, but if you use gravity to bend space around you making the disstance in front of you seem closer and the area behind you seem farther than it is possible to travel FTL even tho your not really traveling faster than the speed of light. To bad to warp space you need the gravity of a black hole, or a planet. So for all this to be possible you would need to find a way to harness the gravity of a black hole.

That seems pretty logical to me. I guess if we {humans} ever make it out into space and find an actual Black Hole we can test that theory.

The above message was most likely sarcasm. Treat it as such.
