Chain of Command: Captain Lars, Lt. Commander O'Brien, Commander Tyson, Lt. T'Jar , Lt. Ronevick, Ensign Rally, Ensign Livingstion.

Story Based after U.S.S. Voyager Got back to the delta quadrant and Picard is now an Admiral and Chief O�Brien is now a Lt. Commander. Captain Janeway is a Vice Admiral at Star Fleet Command.

T'Jar Stepped out of the turbo lift on deck 10, looking around the strange new hallway that was before him. He was aboard a new vessel and was with a new crew. After his last mission on the U.S.S Valdore the Nightingale was like a masterpiece of all Starfleet ships. T'Jar is a Vulcan helm officer and is the rank of Lieutenant. He was assigned to the Fang as chief Helm Officer and has been in training for 3 months for this mission. Going from a small ships located in the neutral zone to a ship that went all over space was a true dream come true.

A sudden bump hit T'Jar without warning. It was another officer who was walking very fast. "Watch it there ensign, why are you in a hurry?" stated T'Jar, "Sir, there has been a explosion on deck 11. I am going to get a EMT." gasped the ensign.

"Come on hurry we have no time to loose" the two ran through corridor and corridor. Approaching Sickbay and ran to the door. Unlucky. The Chief Medical Officer was away. "Computer Locate Commander Tyson". Beep... the doctor is on deck 11 section 36. "Damn, that�s 5 sections over come on." as they ran from section to section of the U.S.S. Nightingale and when they though that they could not run any further they final ran into the doctor.

" Doctor, there has been a accident on deck 11. We need your help. " T�Jar lead them to deck 11 while the ensign told them where the accident happened. It turned out that there was an overload in power at one of the computer modes. It sent a jolt of electric into his nerve cord. " Get me a medical kit Lt. and hurry for this mans life is on the line." the doctor looks down and saw that it was Lt. Commander Miles O�Brien, the first officer of the ship. O�Brien�s pulse was almost dead. The doctor. Started an old fashion type of treatment that was used on earth in the 21st century, CPR. He first checks to see if there was any breathing. He cleared the airway and gave 2 deep breaths into his mouth. Each 2 seconds each and then there was still no replay. Just then Lt. T�Jar came back. "Your just in time Lt. " the doctor pulled out a shot that had blue material or something inside of it. He shot it into O�Brien�s right arm. A few mins. later lt. Commander Miles O�Brien was awake.

"What happened?" He seemed to be stoned at the moment. He had lost much of his memory of the accident and became a little dizzy. " You were struck by a beam from a power over load at that computer. We got the doctor here just in time"

not knowing what to do next T�Jar clicked his COM badge and contacted Captain Lars "Sir, Commander O�Brien was in accident" that was all that was said before John Lars came. Going from deck to deck section-to-section He ran O�Brien. They had been real close friends after he was promoted from a teaching carrer at star fleet command. Thinking: what happened? Is he okay? A few mins. Later he came to deck 11 and found T�Jar, O�Brien, Doctor Tyson and a freshly assigned ensign. " Is he okay?

There was a short while be fore David Tyson would tell the captain. He seems to have lost a portion of his long-term memory. All that he has been able to ell me was that his name is Miles O�Brien father of molly. Is the damage to him temporally is it going to be there for a long time? Captain, im un able to be certain at this point in time but I will get back to you. =^= Ensign Livingston, transport 2 bio signs right to sickbay. =^=

Part II

David Tyson and Miles O�Brien beamed over to sickbay. At once he carried him over to sickbay and put him under some medicine. �Miles, do you remember anything at all from this morning?� asked Commander Tyson.
�Im sorry but I have no idea who you are and where I am. All I remember is that I have one daughter. Where is she? Have you done something to her! I want to see her now!� Miles starts to shake the bio bed and makes every thing shake.
�Molly is okay. She is with her mother on Earth at star fleet command.. She is in the academy there and her mom is there with her miles. Maybe we should take this more slowly. I will have Ensign Mike Rally, the tactical officer on this ship take you around the vessel�
�Oh I see, you attaching me a security officer to see that I don�t get out of place. Good Day sir!� Miles jumps out of the bio bed and leave sickbay.

�Doctor Tyson to Captain Lars, Commander O�Brien has left the sickbay. I suggest that u get Ensign Mike Rally to follow him. He has no memory of the nightingale or that of his life. He could be dangerous.� Ends the communication with the captain
�Thank you Commander. Computer location of Lt. Commander O�Brien please.� Stated the captain.

Ensign Mike Rally ran down to the mess hall. He looked around and all he saw was Chief Engineer, Lieutenant Sharma ronevick with Chief Helm Officer, Lieutenant T�Jar sitting at a table eating.
�Have either of you see the commander?�
�Sorry sir we have not seen him here all today� T�Jar looked around then he saw a COM badge.
�Mike, look is that Mile�s com badge?� how did he know to take that badge off? A few mins later miles were found down in transporter room1.

�I must find my daughter! Damn it. What�s wrong with you people!� miles started to cry with real tears falling down his cheek.
�I have not see her in a long time I must see her� It�s going to be okay sir. You had an accident and there is nothing that we can do for you now. You have lost all of your memory and we are trying to find a way to save it and get it back to you.
�is my daughter alright?�
�Yes she is okay. I�ll try to communicate with star fleet command and get her to come here if you would like me to. Until then I�ve been ordered to say at your side.� Stated Ensign Rally.
�I will stay with you. You have seemed to be on my best side. Thank you for your help in this matter. Molly will be happy to see me again�

�Ensign Rally to Captain Lars, please contact star fleet command and get Molly O�Brien up here on the nightingale at once. Miles has order me to get her here. The status of the situation id under control at the current moment in time, Rally out�
�I will get to that at once. Star fleet told me that we may have time to get my first officer back to mental weariness before we continue our mission.�

Part III

Ensign Mike Rally was trying to contact Star Fleet Command for the Third time. If Molly O�Brien were sent up here to the Nightingale just maybe some of Miles O�Brien memories would come back to him. There has been zero luck in trying to reach her due to it being the exam week of her senior year in the academy. She will soon be posted on a star ship some where in the galaxy. Mike took it onto his self to make sure that she would make it up here. He kept talking to Admiral Picard with this situation. After all he spent many years on board the Enterprise as their transporter chief.

�Sir, I know that its exam week down there but if we bring Molly up she may have the ability to bring back Miles� memories. �
� Ensign, I wont be able to send her in a minimum of 4 weeks! If you take her out now she will not be able to make the exams up and she will have to repeat another year in the academy. We have strict rules about this. But. Miles is a dear friend to me. Maybe if I come up there he may have a jolt in memory?�
�Sir, that�s a swell Idea but miles almost transported himself out into pace because he could not find his daughter the first time. I promised him that he would see her!�
�I will come but we can not send her. I have a suggestion though��
�What admiral?�
�Why not try to make a Hologram of Molly and send it to him. He may be fooled to think that it�s her. I can bring with me one of the prototypes of the Mobile Emitter that Voyager brought back with them. �
�Im not sure that that is a such a good idea but that will have to work. I will see to it that Lieutenant Sharma ronevick gets working on the hologram; The Nightingale is stationed at Star Base 375 (star base where sisko was located during the dominion war)�
�Alright ill see you in 3 days. Picard Out�

Davis Tyson was sitting in sickbay watching over the commander. He has had a very interesting star fleet career so far. He was the Transporter chief on the fleet�s top ship then the chief Engineer on a deep space station by the Vulcan, Kligon borders. Looking down at his medical consol he saw something that was indeed unfamiliar. Miles O�Brien�s bran waves were not like that of a human but that of a Vulcan. There has never been nothing like this before. Star fleet has known about this for many years but they just seemed to say it�s a birth defect. What if this caused his memory loss with the explosion on deck 11? There is no way to be sure. He has been in worse cases. All we can hope is that with the face of admiral Picard that he may get his memory back and soon.

Excellent story but there were a couple innacuracies. You called Molly a him and you said that I was off of the ship lol. Those are really small things though. This is one of the fanfics that i've really enjoyed reading so far.

Part IV

Sharma Ronevick was working in her usual matter, alone. She did not like many people around her when she was working on her work. She had been ordered to make a hologram of Molly O�Brien, in hopes of bringing back his memory. She on the other hand, thought this was a waste of time. If Miles grew to like the hologram what will he think of the real molly when she meets the Commander? If that would happen he may find the real Molly to be.. Well.. Totally different.

Admiral Picard was on a standard star fleet shuttle. He was sitting in the helm seat working the controls to get to the Nightingale. There was not a lot of space in the shuttle but it was not made for comfort. He had know Miles O�Brien for a long time and did not want anything to happen to him so he left Admiral Janeway in control of the Star Fleet Exams. He also sent in word for Commander Bashire from Deep Space Nine to come to the Nightingale also. Mike Rally�s idea has some promise to it but it will only be luck that this works. �Admiral Picard to Captain Lars, come in.�
�This is Captain Lars sir, When is your ETA?�
�Ill be on the Nightingale in a few hours at Warp 6.0 I have contacted the Doctor from Deep Space Nine, to come also. He should be here in 3 days. He was a close friend with Miles over the years. If Ensign Rally�s idea works then this should bring back Miles to his old Self.�

Admiral Picard was going through flight check after flight check. He was a pretty good pilot on these shuttlecrafts. He was getting close to arriving to the nightingale. One of his old junior officers, one of star fleets finest today was in trouble.
�Tactical Alert. Tactical Alert. Incoming Jem Hadar Vessel. Tactical�.�
�Damn it!� Picard looks over to a crewman that was with him in the shuttle.
�Raise shields to max. Power to weapons� Picard swings his chair over to the navigation control. Evasive maneuvers. The Jem Hadar had been an enemy of the federation for a while now. About 10 years ago we had though that we got rid of their threat but in fact we did not. The dominion was getting large again inside of the gamma quadrant. This was the first attack against the federation. And there going after a shuttlecraft with a fleet admiral in it. Genius I say.
�We stand no chance against them sir!� whelped the crewman
�Don�t underestimate me crewman! We will make it.� I hope�

�Shields down to 15% sir! Target phasers on there weapons system and fire like hell!�
�Aye sir, but that will not do any thing!�
�I know but we have to try crewman!�
�Aye sir!� the crewman starts to target the weapons system of the Jem Hadar ship. The blast of the phaser had no effect against the shields of the jem hadar ship. There was only hope that they weould get out alive.

Part V � Picard Meets Miles

�Admiral, Im glad you made it safely�
�There is no time to talk captain, the Jem�Hadar have been seen in the alpha quadrant! I barely made it out alive. Set your ship on Tactical alert. They can be here any second. �
�How did you make it out???�
�it was a long story to be told short. Captain perhaps we should disuse this after I meet with miles. You have new orders�
Picard and Lars walk down the corroders to the medical bay, where Lt commander miles O�Brien was stationed. There had been no change in his status at all. The medical bay was a little far from where Picard and crewman Jar landed their shuttle in the shuttle bay. But that�s what the turbo-lifts were made for.
�Sickbay�
�So captain, how has miles been on his duties as of late?�
�We have taken him off of his duties till he regains this memory. Commander David Tyson, our Chief Medical Officer I have stationed as the First officer for a time being. He is a higher Rank then that of Miles, but I have sent in a promotion to star fleet on his behalf.�
�Admiral Ross is in charge of promotion. I�ll see to it that he looks over Miles profile.� Stated Admiral Picard.

�What�s the status of the hologram of Molly O�Brien?�
�My chief engineer is working on her now. Well I have a mobile emitter for the hologram.�
�Good good, if anything happens when he see me, I want the hologram to come here soon.
Jean-Luc and John walked into sickbay hoping that the face of Picard would re-awake miles. As Picard walked into the room the commander looked at him funny. He had his head at an angle and one eye almost shut.
�do you know who I am?�
�Your.. your.. Captain Picard of the star ship enterprise NCC-1701. You�re my captain. � Stands up and almost falls over to the ground of sickbay
�Do you have any orders for me sir?�
�Sit still commander. You have been in an accident and you lost your memory.�
�I believe your mistaken data, I feel fine and you called me commander, that�s not my rank sir�

Picard to captain Lars
�I think this is enough progress for today. He seems to only remember his days on the enterprise. And he called me data��
�I agree with you. Lets get back working on the hologram of molly O�Brien shall we?�
�Right captain,� Admiral Picard and Captain Lars leave sickbay to go assist Sharma Ronevick.

Lieutenant Sharma ronevick was surprised to see both the admiral and the captain on engineering deck.
�Admiral on deck!�
�Captain on deck!�
�At ease ensign, where just stopping by.� They both walk over to a consol. The progress of the hologram was coming along more slowly then that was expected. The work was slow but it was also hard to do.
�Here is the mobile emitter for the hologram Lieutenant� Jean-Luc hands over a small devise that will allow the hologram to walk all over the ship and all over worlds.
�Admiral, the hologram will be ready in an hour for you to take to sickbay. Did anything happen when he saw you sir?�
�He gains back some of his enterprise NCC-1701 memories.�
�That�s very good news sir. Time will heal�

Part VI � New Orders

�Captain, if your still wondering about how me and crewman jar made it our, what I did was I launch a torpedo, than vaporize it with the phasers of the shuttle craft. (Sub-space explosion).�
�Marvelous, you took them out with one shot! Im going to have to write that done in my book.�
�Alright captain, you have gotten new orders as of today. Star fleet has sent in a mission for The Nightingale to team up with the star ship Valdore, under captain Steven Anderson to go deep into the gamma quadrant to seek out any information that you can find about the dominion and the Jem�Hadar solders. You are to take off for towards deep space nine to the wormhole in 3 days. You will meet up with the Valdore there and together you will go into the wormhole. Captain Sisko of deep space nine has been order to assist you in any means. Understood?�
�Well admiral, I can say that my entire crew it up to the mission but that of Lt. Commander O�Brien. Commander Bashir should be here in a few hours to see if he can help with miles.�
�Alright. As of this moment Im transferring Commander Julian Bashir to The Nightingale to take on the role as your first officer until Miles comes around. He is more that qualified for the job. �
�Alright Admiral, that will hold our ship together and even our crew.� Admiral Picard handed over a PADD that had all the missions briefing inside of it to the captain then left John Lars in the Ready Room to think.

Commander Julian Bashir Arrived on the Nightingale at 1400 hours. When he arrived there he was told of his new assignment and sent a sub space message to his captain about his mission.
�First all I thought was a short stay to help an old friend then found a new mission that will be very exciting. The first officer aboard a star ship for a mission, this is unlike any thing I�ve ever done sir�
�I have all the faith in you doctor, now lets go see Mr. O�Brien and see if you can do anything with him.�
Captain John Lars walked with his Acting First Officer down to sickbay. All there was would be hope. Hope that this would work.

Miles O�Brien looked at Command Bashir. He stood there much like he did when he saw Admiral Picard. He stood there and said nothing. It was almost as if Miles was a block of concrete. He didn�t move and didn�t talk.
�Commander, this is.. Commander Juliana Bashir of the Star Ship Nemesis.�
There was another pause. Miles didn�t move, didn�t talk. Doctor Tyson walked over to him to see if he was going into a shock of some sort.�
�Captain, maybe you should try again. It seems as if his brain waves have frozen. �
�Ok doctor. �Lars looked into space as if there was nothing that he could do for his friend.

Captain Lars walked out of sickbay with a slow pace. His close friend may soon be gone forever. And there was nothing that he could do. Juliana Bashir stayed in sickbay with David Tyson to help him in any way with Miles O�Brien. Captain Lars went up to the bridge. He wasn�t going to wait any longer to go into the gamma quadrant. Admiral Picard was due to leave the ship in the morning so he was going to take off for deep space nine after he was gone. There was a dinner tonight for admiral Picard in the mess hall, hosted by Ensign Steven Livingston, the chief Ops Officer, due to this being the first time that he had met the Admiral.
It has been said to be one very very nice Dinner Bash for Jean-Luc. John walked across the bridge and saw that Lieutenant T�Jar had the bridge under control, and then went into his ready room.

Part VII

It was 2100 hours and just about every one on the crew was in the mess hall for the going away dinner party for Admiral Jean-Luc Picard. Ensign Steven Livingston was making a toast to the admiral. He was basically saying what a honor it was to have him on this ship. Captain Lars was not there at the moment. He was still in his ready room with Commander Bashir. Many people were starting to think that there was something wrong with the new mission. The crew had been told about their mission with the USS Valdore. Lars Stood walking around the ready room.
�Commander, what are you thoughts on a invasion with the possible threat of a dominion outbreak again?�
�Well captain, I was on deep space nine during the first war with them and id say that there can be a quite big chance of another war. After Gul Damar gave up the cardassian government to Gul Damen, there was, what id call, a new kind of order there. They were out on a peacefully missioning. But they never got the amount of white that they needed for the Jem�Hadar. �
�Yes that�s true. Im going to need you to be ready to take command of this ship if anything happens to me. Im going to be leading the fleet, meaning us and the Valdore, into battle and if there I may have to go aboard one of the ships that the Jem�Hadar have to take reason to them.�
�Alright sir, Im ready to take command and I will make sure that we get everyone out of there, including you�

Back at Admiral Picard�s dinner party, things were going pretty good. There was nothing that was wrong and every one seemed to be having a great time. It was a bad thing that Jean-Luc had to get back to Star Fleet Command to see how Janeway was doing or he would have been a very nice person to have on board.
�To all the people that were going to come on the Nightingale I feel that it is a great honor that the Fleet Admiral of Star Fleet Command would be here! Raise your glasses to show your respect!� a toast was going on form Picard by no other than Steven Livingston.

John Lars walked into the Mess hall and say that everyone was having fun. This was a grand idea; A party before a mission. It should keep the moral up with everyone. Commander Bashir also came. Which left the bridge under the watch of a junior Officer, Lieutenant Dana Scully. She was a new Officer that seemed to have a lot of promise in her Career. John was met and was talked to by many of the crew. But he was there for one reason. To inform the senior staff of a staff meeting that was to happen after the part. He got around and Found Lt. T�Jar, Chief helm, and told him to pass the word along.
