Mon Aug 04, 2003 5:31 pm TNG QUOTES? |
|
what are your fave next gen quotes im going to start off with a rather sad one which i really love.
Deanna:the first man i ever loved was my father.
He was strong and tall.He carried me when the ground was muddy, scared the monsters away from underneath my bed at night and he sang to me.
And he went away. What i wouldnt give to here those songs again,to feel his arms protect me.But even though hes gone i can still feel his love and warmth close to me.If u feel those things from the man we know as will riker then accept them, accept the love.(the host)
i love that quote and episode and it was a nice moment between bev and deanna.and the music playing in the background gave the sad atmosphere.Deanna mustve really loved her father and well done marina sirtis and gates mcfadden

Hm... I have so many quotes on my computer (sound files from STinSV).
Data: Life-forms, you tiny little life-forms, you precious little life-forms, where are you (beep beep beep etc...)
I just...love scanning for lifeforms!
Urgh! Yes! I hate this! Iti is revolting! (Guinan- More?) Please.
He he he, Mr Tricorder!
Deanna: I think we should tell him the truth.... (Just that much gets me in hysterics so I will stop....)
Chocolate is a serious thing.
There doesn't seem to be a Klingon word for jolly.
Beverly: I have always been just a little suspicious of men in beards.
(To EMH) Do a dance, tell a story...
(To computer) Ah ha...gotcha (something like that, in Remember Me)
Worf...chief of security? The big guy who never smiles?
They're not removable, are they Data? (Data- Removable?) Your ears...
Jean-Luc: Have you been in a fight, Mr Worf?
Worf: No, it is the gorch.
Jean-Luc: Gorch?
Data: (whispers) pimples.
Jean-Luc: Well, it's hardly noticable...
Will: Fate. Protects fools, little children, and ships named Enerprise
The name of my ship is the... Lollipop. It's a good ship.
(Jean-Luc- We're only mortal) Speak for yourself, sir. I plan to live forever.
Smooth as an android's bottom, eh Data?
Worf: I protest! I am not a merry man!
Ok, well, I think that's the best ones....

Q: Microbrain! Growl for me, let me know you still care.
Microbrain! Eat any good books lately?
Worf: Nice legs.......*people stare*.....for a human.
Can't think of any more at the moment. I shall repost when I find my list....

Ha! Found it! The Complete list of my favorites! (Sorry, but I'm not going back to check to see if I overode some of yours, I'm just lazy)
(Not in any particular order)
"They were just sucked into space" -- Riker
"Blown, sir" -- Data
"Sorry, Data" -- Riker
"Common mistake, sir" -- Data (The Naked Now)
"It never happened" -- Yar to Data (The Naked Now)
"With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censored, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably." -- Captain Picard, quoting Judge Aaron Satie (The Drumhead)
"Let's make sure that history never forgets the name... Enterprise" -- Captain Picard (Yesterday's Enterprise)
"Jean-Luc! It's so good to see you again. How about a big hug?" -- Q (Qpid)
"Sir, I protest! I am NOT a merry man!" -- Worf (Qpid)
"Sorry" -- Worf, after bashing Geordi's lute against a tree (Qpid)
"Spot. This is down. Down is good. *door chimes* One moment. Come in!" -- Data (Force of Nature)
"You must talk to him; tell him that he is a good cat, and a pretty cat, and..." -- Data
"I will feed him" -- Worf (Phantasms)
"You're dead, this is the afterlife -- and I'm God" -- Q (Tapestry)
"We have engaged...the Borg" -- Picard (The Best of Both Worlds I)
"What do you want me to do?" -- Q
"Die" -- Worf (Deja Q)
"You do remember how to fire phasers?" -- Riker to Worf when Worf first takes tactical
Apparently, its a small list. More will come later.

Q:"... All the galaxy's a stage" Picard: "World not galaxy. All the world's a stage" Q: "Oh you know that one..."
Q:"Games! Did someone say games? And per chance for interest sake. A deadly game?"
Riker:"And how much would your confidence cost?" Quark: "How many vouchers do you have again?"
What do you want me to do?" -- Q
"Die" -- Worf (Deja Q)
That quote is wrong.
I have the scriptbook that contains the full script of every Q episode.
The quote is: Q: What can i do to prove to you that i am mortal?
Worf: Die

I don't think it was actaully in Nemesis but
Picard: "Savage them"
was in the script...
I didn't think it sounded particularly Picard-ish - a bit tooaggressive for him lol but a good quote nonetheless...

Not TNG but I thought some of Janeways one-liners were pretty good..."Time to take out the garbage", "I can and I will"
Also, Weyoun got some good one-liners, "Either you remove those mines or we shall take this station from you and do it ourselves"...As soon as he says that you know there's gonna be a hell of a fight...
