replicators cant assimilate ppl they can only kill ppl i suppose the assimilate technology into then cause they absorb what they find in data banks.but there are replicators in a human form.

in the 6th season of stargate they go to this planet and they find replicators in human form and they habve the power to go into your kind and trigger pain and oner of them trusts carter and lets them go and she promises that theyll take this replicator with them but o'neill makes her break her promise.

I saw the ep you where talking about but you are a little off. The machine they found was built be a human but was very lonely so she made little machines to play with. She made her toys to be able to make more of themselves and then the people there started to try to have her deactivated so she told her machines to protect her, and then she lost control of them.
