I really liked the book in general. It was fun to see Lupin and Moody again, and I think new characters like Tonks, Kignsley Shacklebolt, and Dolores Umbridge really made the story interesting. The whole thing with Umbridge taking over Hogwarts was really well written. I liked the whole Cho&Harry thing too. It's about time they got together, but I think that it's a goo dthing they broke up at the end so that way Rolling can play around with a Harry/Germoine thing maybe. It's really a shame that Sirius Black died!

So what did you think?

I loved the book.
It had some pretty funny parts.
Example: Mr.dursley says: We're not stupid you know!
Harry says: Well thats NEWS to me.

Harry really yelled alot in the book.

I think it was the best one yet. I wish that they would have left Umbridge in the forest though .Since she's out though, she should be put in Azakaban for lying to Fudge.

It was all right, but I think Goblet of Fire was better. I couldn't put my finger on what it was but the book seemed... different somehow. It really annoyed me when Harry was yelling and it did seem to drag on in some places. The second half made up for it though and there were some really interesting parts, and finally we get some info.

The prophecy thing was slightly disappointing though.

^ lol I totally agree. I've read the entire book eight times and I pick up something new every time I do. The funny parts still make me laugh and the sad parts still make me depressed. It doesn't get old very quick because a lot of it is so intence. Plus there are so many details it's almost scary.

Such as, Link?

I think that it's one of the best HP books... but err... yeah, Harry yelled a big *too* much. Dolores Umbridge scares me. And 'Snape's Worst Memory' or whatever the chapter is, makes me sympathize with Snape more. Peeves is as annoying as ever, but he did it for a good cause (driving Umbridge mad ). And it's good to see Lupin back again. He's my fav. character.

I wasn't happy with it, actually. (Don't hurt me!) I thought the writing style left much to be desired. It wasn't a book that screams at you from the table 'PUT DOWN WHATEVER YOU'RE DOING AND READ ME!' I don't think I'll be reading the sixth one.

Well I liked the book also. I thought the "funniest" part was when Fred and George left the school...their dramatic exit..

I thought that JKR, while it was amazing to make us hate Umbridge so much, I think I hated her too much...and it kinda spoilt the book. It's one of those things, like the bad guys in movies, they make you boil inside, and I don't really like that. So I was mildly dissapointed, but it was really great in places.

PostThu Sep 18, 2003 4:26 pm    I LOVED THAT BOOK!!!

I LOVED THAT BOOK!!! I read it in two days and I was more into it than any other book I have ever read (And I have aboiut 100 novels). J.K Rowling is such a genius, I did a report on her last year. Even though I was really happy when the 5th book finally came out, I was a bit sad, because there will only be two more books in the series.
