I've nly read Homecoming - I didn't like it so I didn't get The Farther Shore. I thought the first half of the book was pretty boring but the latter half soon picked up. I thought the cliffhanger bit at the end was really good however.

I read Homecoming very quickly. I was a tad disappointed in the Farther Shore, though.

They were ok books... but I would have preferred a different ending to the Voyager series. Maybe one that kept to Starfleet ideals

It's not the end of Voyager. And many books have done stories like this, corruption inside Starfleet. Even TNG episode did it.

Darn.. I hate getting my words mixed up. I meant I would have preferred a nicer way of showing Voyager at home just after the Voyager TV series. And less corruption... we had enough with Equinox.

Nah, there's gonna be dozens of books. Besides, they couldn't very well have it all roses when Voyager got home. There had to be some trouble. Nothing on Trek ever goes smoothly.

Yeah, I was pretty disappointed about how the books ended, but I liked the premise, about the crew still facing trials and trouble even when they got home. Because if it had been all happy it wouldn't have been very realistic.

I really hope they write more Voyager books, but I'm disappointed (I guess that best describes it) that the actual Voyager adventure is pretty much over. I mean, how good will the rest of the books be?

BTW if they ever make a Voyager movie (which they probably won't, but... hey, I can dream) I think they should make it off of these books. It would be a pretty good action flick, especially by the second half of The Farther Shore.
