They're great films although I think the second one lacked something compared to the first. The original was revolutionary in its concept but there was nothing as revolutionary in the second. The special effects were amazing though! Both great films though!

I just want to know why didn't they just release both at the same time? They finished filming the second and third ones at the same time, so why not release it now?

Perhaps they held them apart as to increase viewer anticipation etc........might increase box office takings that way,as is the usual

I really enjoyed the two released so far, however the first is my favorite.Maybe it would help watching them back to back,i just struggled comprehending the deeper plot of Reloaded (then again, that might have been because the only time i could get to the cinema was late at night, and i was tired from work ,and had a drink in).I never got to see the first one on the big screen,so seeing all the fight scenes, squiddies, ships, etc larger than life was really entertaining. And who could forget that highway chase scene ;/

And sitting through the credits......then seeing the awesome trailer for the third one.....was pure torture......gnnn....cant wait ! Well at least one wont have to wait a whole bloody year,IIRC,for the third one, unlike say LOTR,the year wait in between each one just about killed me and my friends here..........

It would've been good for the fans but they'd have lost money on the merchandising and I guess they can build up more hype this way...
Personally I think leaving it on a cliffhanger was a bit daft...whilst it may work in TV series, by the time the next film is released much of the tension created will have deflated.

Still, I'm looking forward to its release!

^November.

The best fight scene so far is from the first one, in the bottom floor lobby in the building.

Reloaded is better than the original. Better, such a vague word right? Yes, but it is. It's simply better...IMO of course.

Ive been thinking, and i now realised why i like the original slightly better. This might sound strange but.........

As enjoyable as Reloaded was,it was a little too over the top.The thing with the original matrix is,at some level, you could see people doing that.Thats a thing with me and a lot of sci fi,i can see a lot of things as possible in the future(call me crazy,or a dreamer),realistic then etc.Even trek, though it might take 4000 years and not be quite the same,i can see warp drives...........

And with the matrix,i felt that the concept of a simulation,a machine ruled world, where they used humans for power, people controlling that world through their own will (ie the bullet time fight scenes) COULD happen,somewhere,sometime,theoretically..........

But reloaded was just.....too many........tottaly impossible over the top fight scenes and flight scenes and stuff....it was cool, dont get me wrong....but thats why i prefer the original, like i said

Well, if you look at it a certain way, yes that could happen, but it is highly unlikely. Machines going power-hungry and taking over the world? People living under the earths crust? It might happen, but maybe in a long time.

It is not meant to be realistic future possible like star trek

I rekon the matrix is turning out like the movie the 13th floor.

Yeah there's a trailer at the end of the credits...30 seconds long I think. Seen it so many times.

"Mr. Anderson, welcome back. We missed you."

The trailer rocked When Neo and Smith runs towards each other flanked by all those......gnnn,is it time for revolutions yet ?! Wonder why i keep accidentally wanting to call it revelations........

And yeah,i know its not supposed to be realistic.....thats why its called sci fi and stuff,i guess Still,i tend to like movies with at least some grabbable notions of future realism.........

About machines taking over......hmmm Terminator had that theme too.....Indeed,it might happen in 5000 years time,or.....never.....but one can sorta see it,in minds eye, with whats going on today .........

Anyway,i`m never on this planet in my head anyway .........There is no spoon,i tell you ! *gets dragged off by the people in white coats, again*

reloaded was ok but not what I was hoping for, the cave scene was pointless and the story sucked, too much babble in it , the action was good though I wish the twins had more screen time, same applies to ghost

6/7 outta 10

I get your point of view. It makes sense actually.

The reason I like Trin in Reloaded is because I love where they've gone with her character.

Also, I'm probably biased on the subject since I am a real hard-core Matrix fan.

The Matrix was confusing the first time you watched it because you see it, and people are chasing down a person who can jump from building to building, and then answers a phone thats about to be smashed into tiny pieces by a dump truck. Then you watch the whole thing, and you get it. Reloaded might have been a little better because you actually know what's going on in that movie. Reloaded was good, but you can't beat the first Matrix.
