As far as I know, there are three. Red is obviously for critical situations, where there is a threat to the ship. Next down on the list is yellow alert. This is used when there might be a risk to the ship. The third and final that I know of is Blue alert. This was seen on voyager, episode "1936" (I think) Blue alert is used when a ship is going in for a casual landing. So far, I think only voyager has showed this paticular style of alert

Hey,

RED = weapons, shields are brought online and every 0.002 Nano second the computer conducts a Very brief Diagnostic. All personnel must report to thier posts. IMMEDIATE THREAT

Yellow = Weapons are brought online but will not fire, shields are brought online Sensors at full capacity. WARNING or STANDBY

GREEN = Also referred as "Stand down red (or yellow) Alert)

Blue = Landing

Intruder Alert = the name speaks for itself. Security teams are sent out.

Gray Mode = not really a warning but non essential systems are shut down.

Technically most starships have 2 alert modes. Green is not an alert status. Red and yellow alert are typical on all fed starships. Starships which can land on a planet surface have the blue alert condition to prepare the starship for landing.

^In the 37's Tuvok does say all 'stations blue alert', and theres flashing blue lights all over the bridge. So I would guess it is a alert condition.

Well, are we talking alerts or conditions here?

Condition Blue, landing, or in the Defiant's case, Silent Running
Alert Red, battle stations
Alert Yellow, ready stations
Alert Green, calm
Condition Gray, power low
Intruder Alert, self explanitory

Well, you can't take games into the mainstream. They're just like books. Someone does it wrong, and you can screw up the whole time frame.

Look at the Star Wars Book, oh, what was it, It wasn't by Timothy Zahn, but he destroyed the Millenium Falcon, killed Chewie, and made Leia and Han get a divorce.

Not right.
