Well technically he`s not dead...........just with the prophets ,like Dukat is with the Pah-wraiths Some state of limbo ,i think.Wouldnt be able to tell, havent seen it ;/ However for all intents and purposes.....err......yeah he`s pretty much out of the series....unless (i havent read any ds9 books) they bring him back in a book.....but the books are considered non canon.......

They could bring him back in a movie, but unfortunately the chance of a movie happening looks less likely than hell freezing over. Its all about the money, for Paramount, and though Nemesis was good im sure,it wasnt very
profitable,so IIRC they wont be making another ST movie anytime soon....

Yeah they did pretty much shoot themselves in the foot there. hey i love Ds9,its part of my religion, but there are some turns the latter seasons took that i did not like........

Yeah they could have kept him in err...this dimension

Something just felt...wrong about him being "gone".Empty, even though he probably sacrificed himself for the greater good etc.

Sisko isn't dead, he's just spending some time nonlinear.

I suspect he'll return in "Unity", part of the DS9 relaunch. No confirmation on that yet, though.

No the DS9 Relaunch is an interconnected book series set after the show.

Commander John : dont worry,i wish it was true about some new eps, nevermind out of my seat i would have gone through the ceiling with glee

Ronevick : lol! well he kinda made a NFL tackle on him, anyway uh maybe he was just very enthusiastic and went too far....too fast. But they were kinda facing each other so i doubt Sisko could have sidestepped and shoved him in or something,he made the tackle as Dukat was slightly distracted by feeding Winn to the pah-wraiths or something like that.Maybe it was possible to sidestep and throw.......hold,i need to go
recruit an unsuspecting family member to practice fire cave tackle possibilities

DS9 had always been able to get away from what was always happening in Trek. DS9 was done it's own way, with legends like Mike Pillar and Ira Behr at the helm. Moving Sisko out of the linear realm was a logical end to his 7 year journey, should you take the series in a total context. Unlike TNG, TOS, VGR, and ENT, DS9 had a near-complete arc with it's Captain, he led a specific path throughout the show and his joining the prophets in "What You Leave Behind" is something I have no problem with.

I hope to SEE (canon) him back, being in a book won't cut it for me.

Too bad, because seeing him back probably won't ever happen.

I know exactly what you mean The Avatar Series of Books still don't bring the Characters back for Me, I want to see them once more with Sisko on screen !

A Movie would be Great, however I doubt We'll see either a Voyager or DS9 Film

To me, Sisko's evolution to the Non-Linear realm was just like him dying. The Goodbye scene with Jake's Memories of his Dad was a Touching scene seeing all those Flashback clips and then seeing a Fatherless Jake, that was quite Emotional for me

No Man, The Actor Avery Brooks is still alive. The Character Captain Sisko is not really dead either, he was Taken into the Non-Linear realm by the Prophets (Basically he evolved into a Prophet In my Opinion) but will return to the linear realm eventually.

I think we will but for a DS9 film to work it would have to be set in the past some time during the 7 years
