I don't think so. I think they believed in him to an extent, and tryed to help him as best as they could.

He has a speech imperiment, makes him look less inteligent, anyway remember when he was trying to send a message to Voyager and they wouldnt let him but it worked.

Yeah, but that was because they spent months on another idea he had and it didn't work. They thought the mini-wormhole was the same.

I like Barclay. Especially when he first guested on Voyager trying to convince Admiral Paris of some sort of communication technology to get in touch with Voyager. Also like him in Ship in a Bottle, he looks more relaxed there!!!

The poor guy was painfully shy......especially around senior staff. But his mind and skills was as good as anyone else`s,better perhaps even in some areas.I love all the eps he was in,like the first one "Hollow persuits" where he made those recreations of the senior staff in the holodeck........that holo-troi "godess of empathy" was a riot

I must say that Broccoli annoyed me sometimes but his holo program he designed with the troi godness or whatever was so great i laughed a lot
And I LOVE this moment when Jean-Luc calls him Mr.Broccoli.... It was SO GREAT

His name is BARCLAY! He's one of the coolest (okay, not exactly 'cool' cool, but... you know...) guest characters on the show! I love him for what he is... a normal human being. Not one who leaps to the rescue all the time. He has the flaws of a normal human - addiction, phobias... And yes, he is a bit underrated.

Thanks for the compliment Lt_Tech. ( I think, lol)
Well, I guess I don't have to tell you what I think. But i will .....BARCLAY IS THE GREATEST!!!
neo_viral, you are quite right. That scene in the Holodeck was great, and the look on Troi's face was absolutely, well, shall we say ..."PRICELESS"!
And BTW TAZER, W-W-W-What s-s-s-speech imp-p-p-pediment?

Barclay was an overall very good star trek character. i do believe that i would have wanted a new trek show that was like based at star fleet command and barclay was on the show. that would be really good to see and really funny. i also like his cat neeelix. well thats it im a cat person. now the whle world knows

I loved Reg and i thought his supperior officers had a lot of faith in him its just he was shy and nervous and not really a social person he didnt socialise enough but i think he had faith in himself deep down inside.
i think his crush on deanna was funny and sweet.
