I can't figure something out about Voldermort. Why didn't he want to kill Lily and just james? I mean Voldermort hated Muggle-borns and that was what Lily was. I can't seem to get it! I mean the only theory I can think of is that Harry, from James side, is either the heir of Gryffindor or his family posses some extrodaniare magical powers that could destroy Voldermort. If anyone can answer this one.....PLZ tell me!

In Prisoner of Azkaban, he said he didn't mean to kill Lily, he only did so because she was trying to stop him from killing Harry.

Dunno, why... I've heard the heir of Gryffindor rumour... and also the one that Lily is his daughter, and the one that Lily is his wife/lover, and also the one that Lily was a long relative of his... the list goes on.
