PostWed Jun 11, 2003 6:59 pm    Annikin Skywalker

Hi Everyone. I am a BIG fan the first and second Star Wars movies. I especially like Annikin Skywalker. Though he's cute(for his age) in the first movie, I have to say that Hayden Christain(who plays him in the second movie) is down right HOT!

A little note. Although his name was spelled Annikin in several of the early drafts of A New Hope, the actual spelling in Episode 2 is Anakin.

Sorry to say, I think Hayden Christiansen was a horrible choice to play Anakin in Episode 2

I'll have to agree with Link...Hayden C. was very good in "Life as a House" but he didn't quite hit the mark in Star Wars; but that's just my opinion...

I couldn't stand him in Episode 1. IMO he couldn't act at all and I found myself cringing in most of the scenes he was in. I thought that he was ok in Episode 2 although it was a bit weird...like, for example, he goes on about Padm being "intoxicating" but before you know it he's in a bad mood in front of her 'cos he can't do what he wants...his behaviour and attitude seemed a bit wishy-washy to me although it was good how you saw the begging of the progression of his personality; from the one portrayed in Episode 1 to how he eventually turns out as Darth Vader.

Hmm I don't think that made any sense at all lol.

It did...his emotions change so much in ep2 becuase he's being tempted by the dark side...and won't give in to his anger and hate.

And Jake Lloyd plays Anakin in ep1, and I thought he did a good job.

Jake Lloyd did a great job portraying Anakin in Ep. 1

He did a decent enough job with the character (Lloyd), but the writing could have been better. For instance, I would have preferred Anakin to destroy the TF Battleship deliberately, rather than accidentally.

I've only seen AOTC once, but I thought HC was OK as Anakin. Not very good in his scenes with Padme, but good playing off Obi-Wan.

He was a fair enough character to play for the role.

Hmm.....the only way I can see this happening is if we see a young Han freeing Chewie from slavery. It couldn't be Harrison Ford, I don't think.

It's been confirmed on starwars.com that peter meyhew/chewbacca will be in the next movie...but yea, I don't know how they could have Han in it without messing it up. No one else (in my opinion) can ever be han solo other then harrison ford...so I'd be moy moy pissed if they did something like that.

And there was a weird rumor going around...big stress on rumor (but I like the theory)....that Chewie would help Obi-wan get Luke and Leia to safe places (ie Bail Organa and the Larrs'), because obi-wan does kinda seem to know chewie in ANH...so this could make sense. I think it would be kinda sweet...

Actually, I've heard a rumor that an EU character will be in episode 3. And one comic book Jedi character actually made a cameo in AOTC.
