I believe that Kirk is dead...Live with it.

And I feel the same about videos. I just don't like trolling through a Star Trek book all night. (Which is what I do) I plough through the bookshelves looking for something good to read, then when I go to bed I read it for a while then I fall asleep.

Ah, well...
And I've heard of the Excalibur series. Isn't Calhoun meant to be dead or is that someone else?

You know the way you speak to me really bugs me! First you "sneeze" on me then you tell me to "live with it"....hmph....grrr....I live with it pretty well...do you? its a book! do not take it so seriously lol. I have not read any of the New Frontier books so I cannot comment on them.

I actually have The Return and The Ashes of Eden, I picked up The Return in a second hand store, and ordered the other through WH Smith, but I also ordered Avenger and they haven't been able to get that yet..... so.

I do not know if this is of any use to you, but in "County Bookshops" (I do not know if there are any in Wales) you can get alot of harback Star Trek books for 2.99 including Avenger. I saw them in Meadowhall (Big shopping centre place in Sheffield). There were quite a few, there was the Insurrection novel, those anthologies (Strange New Worlds I think they were called), The Genesis Wave Book 2, Vulcan's Forge, and anothr one of Spock (can't remember the name)- there was also "Enterprise Logs"-thats the one I got. There have been quite a few copies of each book everytime I have been but I have not been in a couple of months so I do not know whether they still stock them...but i wondered if it was any use to you, if not it doesn't matter lol.

Never heard of it, but thanks anyway.

Smiths say that they still might be able to get it, so there's still hope!

Some star trek books are bad, some are good while others are great! i found the section 31 books quite boring...

Did anyone else find this, that if you read them in a row they actually become quite boring? right now i'm reading gene roddenberrys autobiography and it's really good...

^I found Cloak rather dull, and Shadow wasn't that great either. Rogue was OK, but a little on the slow side. However, Abyss was excellent.

I think that Abyss was fab! Especially with it's continuation of the relaunch. Rogue was pretty good, Cloak could have been better and Shadow was very weak. I thought they were okay but Cloak and Shadow could have done with some improvement.

I actually prefer books over TV. I dunno why. I just love books. Books provide just the same level of entertainment as the TV series do, but they're more portable than a TV.
