I really hated it the first season, however I must admit it's not too bad now. /shameful admittance.

Star Trek: The Next Generation was the only series with a good orchestral opening. TOS/DS9/VOY all had absolutly horrible scores that were good the first time but then I had to put it on mute at the beginning of every episode.
Enterprise tops all openings with audio and images. If they change it, I'll be very angry with the producers.

It wouldn't make sense to keep the theme the same if the show's direction really is becoming more military, as they claim.

I think that the song is one of the best themes since TNG abut i agree with lindley that if the show is taking a more militaristic angle then it woould make sense to change it
and ronevick you are not only flaming it this topic but u are also contradicting yourself.

VOY and ENT have the best theme tunes for Star Trek. They can't change ENT now!

I have to disagre with u on that, i used to tape all the VOY episodes and i ALWAYS fast forward through it (the images were ok but the theme was horible). They tried to copy the DS9 theme, the only thing i would like the ent them,e changed to is archer saying "Space....The final frontier" and then it showed the enterprise chasing down some xindi vesels and incinerating them. ohhhhh that would be sweeeeeet.

Ugh.... that's news to me. Although the second season's finale had indications of military conflicts, I just didn't expect the entire theme to be more military. I hope not.

I dont think it would be that bad, it might be rather refreshing , kinda more of a starwars feel to it, plenty of fighting but also a reason 4it.

i think it would be pretty cool for them to take a more militaristic turn but only for a few seasons and then they should go back to some exploration and military stuff u know wut i mean

That wouldnt happen though, in the end of this series it will most likely end up as the crew sacraficing themselves for to end the temporal war or they will continue fighting in this war. Once it takes this turn there is NO going back, berman knows this.

DS9 had a military theme, and they mixed it up with normal episodes pretty well.

I heard that Enterprise is getting some new crew members who are military-type guys. If so, I wonder if it would be like the Hazard Team in the Elite Force video game?
I also heard that they were changing the theme...I thought the imagery for the series was excellent but wasn't too sure about the music itself although I have grown to like it. I remember the first time I saw Enterprise, I was having my tea in the kitchen with my mum n dad and as soon as the TV came on they were cringing, saying it was too cheesey lol.

So they're not gonna be recurring characters? Just a one-off special? That sounds ok. I was hoping that Enterprise wouldn't become an entirely militant (if thats the right word) ship otherwise it wouldn't be Trek.

Being a military show doesn't mean they can't explore also.
Heck, look at Stargate. The show revolves around the US Air Force, but they do more exploring than ENT has done so far.
