Will Startrek ever end well it did once before........until the studio learned about
marketing god knows we told them for long enough. My worry is that they will decide to foist some old tat on us and brand it Startrek (guess who didn't love Voyager then?)I await the new series with a little trepidation

I hope new productions of Star Trek (movies, series) continue throughout my lifetime.
Personally I would love to see a Voyager movie, or maybe a spinoff series from Voyager, perhaps one with a couple of characters from Voyager (7 of 9, Paris, Kim). That would be cool.

I would like to see a generic "Star Trek" series in which all the 24th century characters play a part, not just in guest starring roles.

I saw some books at the library the other day... they were Star Trek, but of a ship and crew I'd never even heard of. Has anyone seen them?
I hope it never ends!!!!

Are you talking about Star Trek: New Frontier?
With Captain Mackenzie Calhoun, Elizabeth Shelby, etc?
There are now 13 books in that series (althought the first 4 are VERY short). Its fascinating, and borrows some characters from TNG.
The other new series is Star Trek: Challenger.
Its Captain Nick Keller & Co.
So far only two books with this crew: New Earth #6 and Gateways #2. This series takes place in around the time of Star Trek 2: TWOK.

The actor who played Icheb said in a sound clip: "Even if it (Star Trek) was to go off the air completely, there would still be a following for it" Or at least something to that effect.

I think Star Trek is going to be a James Bond type of thing. It will likely keep going forever. The further along our technology gets, the further along the technology in Star Trek will get. There will always be places like these- where Star Trek fans will gather and ask eachother questions like"Whatever happened to microwaves" or "Will Star Trek ever end?" As long as there are fans, there will likely be a new series.

I have a stupid idea. Why don't we pool our resourses and create a new Star Trek series? I have seen that some people in this forum have a real act for writing story lines.

we could pool our own resources and write our own show. i don't mean to toot my own horn but i can write pretty good(some would say violent and graphic) fight scenes. want an exampl? give me two characters and a reason they want to fight and i'll post it here later!
