PostFri May 23, 2003 5:28 am    Star Trek Voyager: Milky Way and Beyond!

I can't contimue my old story (star trek voyager's story...its me here) so I guess I'll make do with this one.

U.S.S. Voyager was refitted with a new expermental mode of transportation soon after its return from the Delta Quadrant. Starfleet made it classified, and the reason being that... It could take people to no one imagined they would even be before. The Quantam Matrix drive, different from the Quantam drive. It could take people outside the Milky Way. The crew of USS Voyager was given 4 months to catch up on things with their loved ones, and then they were recalled to be the first people outside the Milky Way. What problems will they face? What perils would they encounter? Read on to find out.

"Ah, dear old Voyager how much I missed you. And all of you! Lets make this mission a success! Starfleet has reccommended that we head for the Andromeda Galaxy. Tom, iniate launch sequence," said Captain Janeway, standing tall and proud on the bridge of USS Voyager. She wondered how did she and her crew get this mission, over many other qualfied people in Starfleet. She thought some more, and then...

"Captain, we are free from Deep Space 9. What should we do now?" Mr Paris asked, very much wanting to try the Quantam Matrix drive. And his wish was fulilled when the captain said..

"Brigde to Lieutenant Mor'sak," she said to the new crew member specially assigned to this mission because he knew all that there was to know about the Quantam Matrix drive.

"Lieutenant Mor'sak here. What do you want, Captain?"

"Is the Quantam Matrix drive ready, Lieutenant?"

"It is, Captain. It is ready to go!"

Excitement and anxiety filled up the crew of Voyager. Captain Janeway tapped her combadge and said, "This is the Captain here. Get ready for the madien voyage of the Quantam Matrix drive. Mr Paris, initate Quantam Matrix drive. Engage!"

to be continued...

Part 2

As the deep rumblings began to grow louder, Voyager started to move, faster and faster and faster. An opening appeared infront of them, and they entered it. The crew on the Bridge held their breath, and remain silent, awed by the stunning beauty of the "tunnel." It was bluish green, and with a multi-colored end which seemed so very far. The silence was broken by Tom, who said, "Captain, we are ok for the moment. The trip to the edge of the galaxy will take 1 day, so I guess there is nothing more to do until thE...!" The Voyager rumbled, and dropped out of the "tunnel" into space, blinded by the light that flooded the bridge.

"TOM! MOVE US AWAY FROM WHAT EVER IS CAUSING THE LIGHT!" Janeway shouted over all the beeps and bleeps from the consoles.

"AYE CAPTAIN," replied Tom. When the light disappeared, the sensors stopped beeping at once.

Puzzled, Janeway asked, "Report. And why did the consoles stop asking for our attention after we got away from the light?"

"I do not know, Captain. But I must say, that we are in the center of the galaxy. That could explain the 'light,' Captain," the ever logical Tuvoc said.

I like it. Even if each part is a bit short.

Now... hee hee

But after all that, there were no casulties. Thank God, Janeway said. "Bridge to Lieutenant Mor'sak. Why did we drop out of the Quantam drive?"

"I dont know, Captain. Perhaps we should find out what went wrong first." Mor'sak said, over the shouting.

"Understood. Do whatever it takes to find out what want wrong."

1 hour later...

"Engineering to Bridge. We found a slight power fluctation in the Drive. We have solved this problem, and ready to re-initate the Drive."

"Understood. Paris, go ahead an start it up again. Engage." Finally we get to get going again, thought Janeway.

"Captain, the Drive is in action!" Mr Paris said. Once again, the crew on the bridge were captivated by the beauty of the 'tunnel' that opened before them. "We will be on the edge of the galaxy in 1 1/2 days, Captain. Nothing much to do until then I guess."

Next chapter in a hour...

lol...6 hours lol...

As Voyager sped through the Gamma Quadrant, the crew of Voyager couldn't be anymore restless. No one had much to do, and had mostly congretated in the Mess Hall.

Captain Janeway was on her way there herself. She strode toward the turbolift, and the doors swooshed open, she saw Chakotay, Tom, B'elanna and Harry. "What a coincidence! Where are you all heading to?" asked Janeway.

"Oh, we were going to the Mess Hall, Captain." Chakotay said, looking around at the many people in the tiny turbolift.

"Well, lets all go there then. I was going there myself." The doors opened, and they walked together toward the Mess Hall. Janeway was suprised at the amount of crew there. They found an empty table, and Janeway volunteered to get the others what ever they wanted.

With orders at hand, Janeway went to the replicators. She missed Neelix, and even wanted to taste his cooking. But oh well, she thought. She called Chakotay and the others to go to the Captain's private dining room.

Once they were all inside, they discussed what they were going to do when they reached the Andromeda Galaxy. They were laughing heartily, and with their bellies full, they headed back to the bridge. Once there, Janeway said, "Tuvok, what's our status?"

"We are approaching our destination, Captain." replied Tuvok, with a questioning look on his face.

"Full stop. On screen." They dropped out of the 'tunnel,' and, once again they were captivated by the beauty. This time not of the 'tunnel,' but the beauty of the Andromeda Galaxy.

Next chapter tomorrow

While in the turbolift, it stopped arubtly, sending Janeway to her feet. "Janeway to Bridge. Report!"

"We've encountered some kind of dampening field near a M-Class planet, Captain. It appeared out of no where, like that subspace thing that we encountered before." Chakotay replied. Janeway could here the consoles beeping and calling for someone's attention.

"A subspace planet? That is really interesting. Any signs of life on the planet, Chakotay?" Worried about her crew, Janeway immedeatly headed to the Bridge. "I'll be there as soon as I get out of this turbolift. Janeway out." Janeway was pondering on a way to get out, when the turbolift resumed funtioning, and opened on deck 2. She then proceeded to deck 1, and her heart skipped a beat when she saw the planet.

It was as if the planet had been in war for a long time. Dark clouds, with varing degrees of black and grey shrouded the planet. A few places here and there, she could see through the clouds, and saw what appeared to be fires raging out of control. She scanned for life, and found only about one million people. Deep in thought, Janeway decided to help these people, re-locate to an un-inhibitated planet about 1 lightyear away.

"Tuvok, we are going down to that planet. Tom, you come with us. Commander, bring us into a high orbit." Janeway ordered, determined to help those people on that planet.

Janeway, Tuvok and Tom strode towards the shuttlebay. I must save them! thought Janeway. I'm not going to let them die down there. Never.

Captain Janeway, along with Tom and Tuvok headed to the shuttlebay, with a sense of urgency in their footsteps. "Captain, why can't we just beam down there?" asked Tom.

"Because there is too much interference from the clouds."

The Delta Flyer came out of the shuttlebay doors, and went down towards the planet. "Hang on....Its going to be a rough ride!" Tom said, just as the Delta Flyer began to shake, rattle and roll. "Six kilometres to the surface. You should see the surface just about........now!"

It was a morbid sight. Worst than worst can be. Buildings were lying in ruins. Shattered glass was everywhere. Just then, something exploded, incerenating everything around it. The Delta Flyer landed, and the triotook out tricorders.

Janeway saw a male wandering about, without injuries. He sees Janeway, and runs to her. "You must help my people! Before it goes baack into subspace!"

"Come back with us to our ship. I need some infomation from you." The alien male nodded appriciatevely, and followed Janeway back to the Delta Flyer, together with Tom and Tuvok.

"My name is G'nar. And our spesis are the Noerarks. We were a happy race, going aabout our everyday bussniess. Then the Kar'ak came." G'nar's face contorted with anger. "They were superior to us...weapons, ships, everything. They had subspace weapons, and that was what sent us, this planet to subspace, drifting about. Our beautiful planet, gone in just a blink of an eye..." G'nar wiped a tear that was rolling down his face. "Without a stable orbit, or a star to grow our food, our numbers dwindled down to the verge of extintion. Our planet comes back to normal space every 2 months, we take that time to gather as muxh resources as we can before it goes back to subspace after 1 day."

Janeway listened intently, then asked, "There is an uninhabited planet about 1 lightyear from here. Same as yours. We hope to evacuate your people there, but we need to know how many people are worth taking there."

"There are about 5000 people alive there. As good as me, but are starving." G'nar looked at his planet, ravaged, ulgy, un-welcoming.

Janeway took pity on them, and started evacuating them, 1000 people at a time. They were free to roam anywhere on the ship, but not the critical systems of the ship. Most of them congregated in the Mess Hall, eating their hearts out.

to be continued
