we all know that enterprise is not doing so good, we have episodes where the captain spends all night (all episode) in sick bay with his sick dog. maby people feel different about the way i feel but i dont even think there should be animals on the ship. anyway, less and less people are watching enterprise and if this keeps up it will destroy the good startrek name, and when this show eventualy goes off the air, will they make another startrek series or will this be the end of startrek all together , what do you think, tell me and the rest of the members what you think is a good way to fix enterprise

i think that enterprise isnt as bad as every1 says it is, if u look back at the early episodes of TNG or TOS u will c that Enterprise is very true to Trek, i think that wat they have planned 4 april n may will definatly bring ratings up.

Yeah I agree. I would have thought the doctor might have slightly more technological cures to diseases rather than him being stuck in the medieval times, and so uses leaches instead...I think Enterprise should continue because, personally, its my favourite. Although the characters may seem a little bland now I like the way that there seems to be a little more emphasis on character's personalities than in previous series. Well some of the characters anyway...there haven't been too many storylines based on Merryweather for example. But yeah, despite several bad episodes I think Enterprise has great potential. I never liked Babylon 5 when it first came out. I watched the first season on its 2nd or 3rd showing and thought it was ridiculous. A few months later I saw the latter half of season 3 and early season 4. I immediately changed my mind and I suspect/hope that Enterprise will go the same way. At the moment, they just seem to be recycling old storylines rather than creating new ones. For first-time science fiction fans I imagine this is quite good as they will not have seen these stories before, but for trekkies like us, its all a bit same-old same-old if you know what I mean Well at the moment anyway...

Perhaps a ninja monkey will dive in to the scripts room and write some good episodes and Enterprise will receive the highest ratings in the world. or then again, perhaps not...

I have to go now because the men in the white coats are here to lock me in my room now and give me my insanity tablets...

I agree. TNG definately didn't have a great couple seasons, but it turned out to be a classic. If next season is REALLY good, they could turn the show around in the ratings.
As I've said in other forums, I'm for character eps. In seasons 3/4 of TNG, it was mostly character eps that set up for the action eps. Plus, they could really do something with the ending of "Judgement" and the time-travel war...thing could be played with. They have a good basis, they just need to run with it.

Well you're thinking to 20th Century If you're going to embrace new worlds you need to embrace new Ideas and Well those certainly are methods I can see races of other planets using. We have discovered that use of certain basic animals can help certain situations, Maggots are used to clean blood these days

Enterprise, Is actually True-Trek it's just in early developement, but i think as we have seen lately, it will get better. As for Phlox, his methods, as pointed out, are very modern. Not only do we use maggots to clean wounds, but we use leeches to keep blood from clotting.

Yeah I agree.

lord_picard,

The episode with Archer and his dog in sickbay is THE WORST of this series. It ranks up there with the baseball game DS9 episode. Terrible!

Hey I thought The DS9 Baseball game was used to break the Ice from all the tensions of the Dominion War It was good, but yeah "A night in sickbay was rubbish"

I still think overall, the first two seasons of Enterprise is better than the first two seasons of the previous series.

Last week's episode, Regeneration, was really entertaining, even though I'm sick of Borg plot lines. I'm glad I watched it though.

Werd.

The series I hated the most (first two season wise) was TNG.... Gawd those outfits were ridiculous. I never watched Voyager but from what I understand, when 7 of 9 joined, that's when it got good.

I like Enterprise. I've tried to be faithful to the show since it dawned on me that I had UPN on basic cable. Now I have to pray that I have UPN on basic cable when I transfer to a university.

^Well they threw in seven and the borg to get more viewers.

I still think Jeri Taylors first 3 seasons had ok-good storylines. Voyagers first season was better than DS9 or ENT's first season.

It's hard to remember the first three seasons of voyager because 7of9 TOTALLY changed that series around after the third season.

Hmm although Ent's First Season was not as good Voyagers overall, I'd still say they've had the best Pilot Episode yet

That episode =

Enterprise =

I'm excited about season three. I wish Fox would've picked it up, keeping Voyager as well. DS9 and TNG were big factors in the ratings wars in the late 90s.
