Okay, everything I've read says that the warp core for the original constitution class ships had their warp core located in the saucer section. If that's true, why was the engineering section referred to as the engineering setion? With the warp core in the saucer section, there is no engineering in the engineering section?

maybe the Enterprise Core is like the one on ENTERPRISE, and were looking vertically not horizontally

But in all the episodes where they actually showed the core, it was vertically set up. It was also pretty small too.

The Saucer section of most Starships is reserved for residental/crew areas of Starships, and the Engineering section is mainly used for shuttles aeroponics and engineering in most starships

as you may know, mr. tyvek, most people that come here do so to ask these questions, but that does not mean that there is any1 here who knows EVERYTHING about star trek.
